This study spot-coffee shop is a great place to hunker down. But you need to buy something, anything. Downstairs has extra seating. Meet a professor here too - Parini is fond of this place.

This is the heart of Middlebury. Come here for a taste of the real locals including writer Jay Parini who is here all the time. I favor a good cafe au lait or chai tea latte. For treats, try a delicio

Skip the chai and opt for coffee. Sit upstairs in the sunlight amidst professors and townsfolk, or venture to the sneaky seating area downstairs for some quiet time.
