One of the oldest cafe's in Vienna. If you like cake and coffe, this is the place for you. The cake selection is great and super delicious! Coffe is also really good! But prepare to wait for a table.
Definitely the most authenticcoffee place in Vienna. Must tries, the Einspänner coffee and this small delicious bomb of taste, the "Peanuts Karamell". In every to do list in Vienna, this place.
Café Central is a coffeehouse first, but serves traditional Austrian food for lunch. The grand interior displays its palace setting to perfection, with a classical pianist serenading diners. Read more
Waited in line for five minutes for a table on a Saturday evening but the experience more than made up for that. Attentive/accommodating waiters. Try the Altenberg tort for cake! ❤️ the live piano.
Classic atmosphere with a luxury touch. They have great variety of dessert and drink selections, and we also loved the soup and tore pancakes with plum sauce. Arrive before 5pm for live piano music!
Truly enjoyable experience in one of Vienna's authenticcoffeehouses, allow some time for the expected long queues or just come a bit early in the morning for a wonderful classic Viennesebreakfast.
Cafes, piano music, cakes, tasty, but it's place only for tasty sweets and good for small groups. Overcrowded, book a table in advance. No chance to eat for vegetarians
A classic viennese café, a must-visit in Vienna. Super touristic, so try to reserve a table in advance and ask to be seated inside for the full experience. Desserts here are amazing!
The ambience and the service is good. Food is wonderful. Try the boiled beef and all the coffees. Do make a reservation before going as there's a queue for lunch even in winter. Pretty family friendly
The most beautiful historic cafe in Wien; beautiful vaulted arches; touristy place; good food; fair prices; usually you have to qeue at the entrance; kind service; no wi-fi, parking or smoking;
You definitely have to go here if you're visiting Vienna. It's a lovely experience and a great place for afternoon tea. Once you're at a table go up and pick your cake from the decadent selection!
Stunning interior, great service & fast to be seated despite the queue out the door! This was a perfect balance of flavour & sweetness in this little Peanut BrittleCaramelCreme Brûlée bomb! Yum 😋
Photo: minced deer patties with chestnuts and cabbage roll, chestnutsoup with goose ravioli, wiener schnitzel, cream cake with cinnamon and plum, warm chocolate cake, puff pastry with vanilla cream
Cute and chill atmosphere, often crowded (you'll have to stand in a line to get in), but the place is really worth it. Besides, prices are totally honest despite its wide fame.
One of the best places to spend your time in Vienna. This cafe is amongst the oldest in this city, really keeping the vibe of the old times. Try the desserts and the Wiener melange.Definitely worth it
Beautiful environment, once you have a table (likely after a short wait) you can escape with coffee and food. The peanutCaramel was amazing. Pancakes also delicious.
I went on a Wednesday night so thankfully we weren’t waiting a long.It has various sweets which you can choose..The interior was great and also it has a live piano..
The place is beautiful. It was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. There are a lot of desserts was delicious. The service was amazing. The food is delicious 😋 I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO COME HERE
Delicious Rindgulash is highly recommended. Beautiful welcoming atmosphere with relaxing piano melody and welldressed, gentle waiters. Another piece of art at the heart of the city:)
Sacher cake, apfelstrudel with viena coffee and house white wine. Clasical combination but everything was really delicious and the place has an amazing atmosphere.
Delicious food and desserts. Soups and steak tartare are amazing! Service is not included in the bill. Live classic music in the evenings. A must in Vienna!
Amazing! Great vibe inside, beautiful decor, and live music on the piano. Just one thing; it's quite overpriced and the service could be better. Just get coffee instead of actual food.
Great ambiance especially with live piano music. Disliked the apple strudel; it had aftertastes of rum in it. Looking back, we should have tried the other pastries
Sachertorte is amazing. Cool interior for a romantic date. But so many people. They have a few "food" items in the menu, but main point is different cakes and coffee.
Schnitzel and apfelstrudel is recommended but the other desserts on display (real work of art) also stand a chance. You will definitely want to add them to the list in this marvellous ambiance..
Delightfully! Atmosphere, cakes are chic and luxurious. Attentive waiters. Mousses are great and gluten-free, that is really good. Hot chocolate is cooking from real cocoa. Best cafe in my life :)
One of #mustsees. Cappuccino tasted more like filter coffee to me.many tourists. You have to wait in line to get in when it’s crowded. Very busy waiters so you might need to wait to pay.
Authentic ambience and cozy historic interior. Warm chocolate cake was amazing, coffee was a huge disappointment though, tasted absolutely horrible. Come before 11am to avoid long queues.
A classic Viennese establishment. You wait in line for a while but once you get in: gorgeous interior, perfect desserts and proper service. Kaiserschmarrn is awesome and big enough for two
Amazing coffee and the best Mohr im Hemd in the city. The food is to die for should you decide to splurge and eat a meal there. The live piano player starts at 18:00 already. Vienna must do. Must!
Great place with good food. We tried the schnitzel, the fried chicken, potato soup, and beefdumplings. They all tasted good. Make a reservation to avoid the long queue.
The personnel was professional and paid attention to our questions. The vealliver and the schnitzel were excellent. So was the almond and orange cake. Highly recommendable.
another amazing venue for great desserts! service was a bit slow and seemed to be uncoordinated but the food and drinks didn't disappoint! Definitely a must stop on your to do list.
A truly stylish place, to have a coffee here is a real experience in itself. Of course therefore it is expensive and the coffee is not as good as at many other new vawe places in the city.
Nice atmosphere, ptofessional staff good cakes, but coffee wasnt strong enough. Maybe thats austrian type of coffee. Worth to visit only because of design.
Really crowded but still a relaxing atmosphere. Don't be scared if you see a long line outside. Waiting time is short and once seated you will appreciate that you waited!
The apple strudel was not that surprisingly good, but the atmosphere was all above the place. Another one con, is that you have to wait for the staff to find you a table.
