「おとこ川」である犀川に対して「おんな川」と呼ばれる浅野川の南側に伸びる茶屋町で、「ひがし」と「にし」に対して「ながれ」と呼ばれていた。浅野川沿いには、二階に吹流しの縁側を備えた建物が並ぶ。「ひがし」と違って観光客少なめで風情あり。裏通りには料亭の鑑札を掲げた店も隠れている。

川沿いは風情がありますが、裏の細道の雰囲気も良いです。
