Came for post-dinner cocktails on a Friday night and it was not crowded. Black currant cocktail was great if you like drinks that are fruity but not too sweet.
Kind of edgy menu but generally good service and can't believe this was old Cub Room- they did an awesome job with renovations. Great to have this late night (open til 2am) restaurant in the hood.
Raw and sandwichoysters are amazing. As are the fries and the summer lettuce. Avoid the shrimps, they are kinda limp. Oh and Greek white wine, real nice too.
Andrew Carmellini hits all the right notes at his American bistro: oysters, fried chicken, a towering sandwich of fried soft-shell crab and kaffir-curry sauce.
score a prime spot at the window seat near the bar -- it opens all the way up on warm evenings. must try the smoked ricottaravioli, even if you're sharing.
Get the little oyster sandwiches. They're awesome. For entree, branzino is really good -- but if their rabbitpot pie (a special) is most unique... and delicious.
The oysters, the asparagus and the arugula salad = best app combo for a table of 4. Ribeye is great but ask for medium as medium-rare here is really, really rare.
Food blogger Eleanore Wells recommends The Dutch, which “has a stylish, but not pretentious, crowd.” She recommends the eggplant dip with savory crackers as a simple, yet tasty starter.
Due to a series of mixups and misunderstandings about our food order, they comped us our brunch. That was pretty terrific of them. First-rate service to go with the first-rate food.
I was sad when the Cub Room close, but lucky us, the Dutch is better. The Pulled Pork Sandwich is awesome! Try it and thank me later. Oysters are also great.
