Avoid on Friday evening. Parking is a nightmare. And its harder to get out. For new years eve, limited parking slots are available on payment. Get it before it runs out.

Gold souq 4 bargains, ice rink, aquarium, zoo, outside dancing fountains. Pop across bridge to Souk al Bahar. Shakespeare cafe, dont go to organic cafe though.
