- If the soup of the day is celery and fennel go for it! Absolutely delicious, with a hint of spicy.
- Joy VJanuary 21, 2016Huevos rancheros needs more love, the beans are sweety, not like mexican beans :(
- Ping pong's tournament on Tuesdays is great but very high level. Pool downstairs and good music. They love the kings of Leon.
- David RodgersAugust 7, 2014Asked for id on the way in wouldn't have minded, except I'm nearly 40!! Then asked for a couple of cocktails, sorry can't do them. Ok nice
- BarChickAugust 12, 2013What a well rounded hangout! http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/london/the-book-club
- Webing | The Social Marketing HubJanuary 29, 2011One of the coolest *social* spots in East London. Wi-fi works great, ask staff for password. Read more
- Kay McMahonMarch 26, 2011Friendly staff, no coat check queue & fast bar service despite being rammed. What's not to like?
- Emma BJune 23, 2010Art, atmosphere and ping pong, one of the nicest bars in Shoreditch. Watch out for the communal toilets
- You need to be chilled out BEFORE you come here. Laid back, slow and dippy service needs a chilled outlook. If you're in a rush, skip this place. If you're killing time, lean back and enjoy.
- Richard FoggJuly 18, 2015Distinctly average cocktails. And don't you DARE go off menu: computer says no.
- Kate CaseyMay 4, 2011I lost my jacket in here on a night out and it turned up the next day! Awesome honest people
- Don't dress smartly - e.g. suit/tie as I saw lots of bankers etc. refused entry on Fri/Sat. Very "Shoreditch", but good food and atmosphere.
- Alistair ScottMarch 7, 2012Not quite enough tables, but still spacious. Great with a group, bad for a first date!
