The No Pants Players are West Virginia’s best improv comedy. Ever. If you have seen the television show “Whose Line is it Anyway” then you have an idea of what we do. Our comedy is created on the fly: never rehearsed; daringly original and occasionally funny. Should you happen to see our show live then prepare to laugh hard – like the kind of laughter that makes you look funny. The kind of laughter that will make you think “I hope someone doesn’t post a picture of me laughing like this on Facebook” laughter. You get the idea.
And as for the name? Ever have the dream where you are standing in front of your school ready to give a speech and have no idea what to say and suddenly realize that you’re not wearing any pants? Yeah, that’s pretty much us all the time.

Clinton Collins is a performing songwriter from the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. His musical poetry is filled with the mystery, fascination, and stark beauty of his natural surroundings. Blends of rock, country, blues, folk, gospel, and mountain music are creatively woven into a sound that retains the fingerprints of his own personality. With a relaxed, yet passionate vocal style, Clinton offers a unique sampling of original songs about people and places that seem familiar and stories that resonate with us all. He was a winner of the 2005 New Song Festival {the Sundance for performing songwriters} for his song We’re Watching Home and Garden and also won The Next Great West Virginia Song Contest with The Appalachian Way. Catch his latest cd, Creek Boy Blues, on Lost Cauz Records.

Jury Information
Tamarack is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. From January 5 through March 1, we’re open from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. From March 2 through January 4, we close at 8:00 p.m. The only exceptions are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve when we close at 5:00 p.m.
Please note that the Tamarack retail sales floor is usually closed on January 31 or another day late in January for inventory. For your dining pleasure, our food court and the Greenbrier Shoppe will still be open. If you plan to stop at Tamarack during late January, please feel free to call ahead and confirm our inventory date.
All items found at Tamarack are given to our Security Department. The items are logged as to when and where they were found. And if there is identification in the item, an
attempt will be made to contact the owner. To check with Security if you think you left something here, call 1-88 TAMARACK (1-888-262-7225) x160. If you lose something while you're visiting, ask anyone to help locate the security staff.

We envision a vibrant cottage industry in West Virginia where jobs, market opportunities, training, and educational resources abound for West Virginia's artists, artisans, craftspersons, and food producers, and our rich cultural heritage and artisan skills and traditions are preserved and strengthened for future generations of West Virginians.
The Tamarack System's Vision
The Tamarack System will be recognized globally as a dynamic catalyst and premiere showcase for all aspects of advancing West Virginia arts, crafts and food products and those who produce or perform them.
Tamarack was named in the late spring of 1993 by The Arnold Agency in Charleston. Linda Arnold, a Beckley native, and her creative team of Dick Allowatt and Carrie Stollings proposed the name of a tree, also called the American larch, known for its qualities of strength, beauty and versatility.
The Crafts Report
devoted its cover feature to “West Virginia’s Bold Experiment.” A few months later, the national publication honored the Parkways Authority with its
Crafts Consciousness
Award.
Building a Dream
At the official groundbreaking on August 8, 1994, visitors sampled food from The Greenbrier, including the fried green tomatoes that have become a signature of Tamarack.
Tamarack’s popularity as a gathering place and the more than fruitful partnership with The Greenbrier sparked the idea of adding a conference center. The grand opening for the Tamarack Conference Center was held on June 20, 2003.
Tamarack has continued to grow. Over 2,800 artisans from all fifty-five counties have become part of the Tamarack family. Gross revenues have topped $78 million and purchases for goods and services have exceeded $65 million. And as of June 30, 2007, Tamarack had enjoyed almost 5.2 million visitors. (On May 21, 2012 Tamarack welcomed its 7 millionth guest.)

At either end of the exhibit there are nine-foot museum cases filled with items that include; a gown Kathy Mattea wore to the White House, ’07 inductee Hazel Dickens’ stand-up bass that dates back to 1942 (with the original bill of sale), ’09 inductee Homer Bailes’ fiddle, hats worn by ’08 inductees Everett and Bea Lilly, ’08 inductee Robert Drasnin’s piccolo, a dress handmade by ’08 inductee Wilma Lee Cooper.
There are also poster-size enlargements of rare photos and magazine ads (a Camel cigarette ad featuring opera star Eleanor Steber), posters from the legendary Aunt Minnie’s farm festivals and a collection of original silk-screened posters made by Wolf Creek Printery.

Also on display are vintage phonograph players including a 1963 Wurlitzer jukebox, a Victrola from the 1930s, a stereo console from the 1950s and an Edison Cylinder Player.

With nearly 100 LPs, 45s and 78s on display, the exhibit includes something for everyone. Featured artists range from Beckley’s famed Lilly Brothers, legendary jazz arranger Don Redman and singer/songwriter Bill Withers to WV’s wilder side: Hasil Adkins, Morgantown punk group Th’ Inbred and funk pioneer Fuzzy Haskins (co-founder of Parliament/Funkadelic) .

Meals in the food court can be paid individually, with open meal vouchers allowing your guests to anything they would like, or pre-paid meal vouchers with a certain dollar limit, allowing for easy budgeting. Specials change daily.

Dijon Mustard
Toss each vegetable in bowl with oil, salt and pepper. Grill each vegetable on for 1 ½ to 2 minutes on each side. Brush sub rolls with oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook rolls on grill for 2 minutes each side. Put mustard, red wine vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Slowly whisk the oil into the bowl until all of the oil is incorporated. Toss vegetables, bread and dressing together 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with Romano cheese.

Cloves (minced) Blended Oil cup Sea Salt
Mix lemon zest and juice, garlic, shallots, salt, pepper and oil. Remove neck and backbone from chicken. Toss chicken in marinade and refrigerate overnight. Remove chicken from marinade and pat dry with towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Place chicken on medium high heat grill. Flatten chicken with brick or iron skillet and cook for 15 minutes and turn over and cook for another 15 minutes. Remove from grill when chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Upon accepting the opportunity to exhibit in the gallery, you are required to make your work professional and suitable for the theme of the show.

along with your images or save it on the cd. Send at least three weeks in advance of the show drop off dates. You may submit up to six images. Also, these images will be used as photo reference for your inclusion of future shows.
We regret there is no guarantee your work will be ready for the show’s opening if these items are not sent in advance.

Tamarack’s extensive hours make it necessary to make arrangements with the Gallery staff to drop off work. It is the responsibility of the artist to get their work to, and picked up from Tamarack. Please contact the gallery for information about our shipping policy for return items. The policy can also be found on the Tamarack website.
Due to limited storage space, the Gallery is unable to save any packing materials.
The opening reception gives the public a chance to meet the artists, generates press coverage, and helps market your work. We encourage you to attend the opening and to invite your family, friends and clients.
