Winemaker notes: the somerston estate is our 1628-acre property w/ 12.5 acres planted to petite sirah vines. Located high in the eastern hills of napa valley, somerston sits at elevations ranging from 820 to 2400 feet. We selected this petite sirah from five different hillside blocks.

The merlot-based 2009 red blend stornoway is quite delicate & silky on the palate. effortless layers of fruit take shape nicely in the glass. red currants, raspberries, crushed flowers, sweet spices & French oak are all nicely layered into the nuanced, vinous finish

The​ 2009 cabernet sauvignon somerston stands out for its gorgeous balance of fruit acidity & tannin. All the elements fall into place in this effortless cabernet. Dark red berries, spices & flowers lead to a creamy, textured finish. Interestingly, in 2009 there is a bit less difference between the two cabernet bottlings than in 2010.

Somerston sauvignon blanc 2009 subtle aromas of meyer lemon, toasted brioche & vanilla bean. Soft flavors of summer melon & citus caramel followed by a hint of coriander spice. Estate grown.
