Peter J.: Florence's Central Market is a food lover's heaven. There's meat and fish on the ground floor, fruits and vegetables on the first floor. For an inexpensive lunch, visit the Nerbone food stall.

Rafael Marin: Beautiful toy store featuring wooden Pinocchio. Everything here is made of wood. You can even see the workshop at the back of the store.

Visit Tuscany: Dedicated to Michelangelo, it is one of the most famous places in the world, for the magnificent panoramic view of Florence! Here you will also find bronze copies of some of his works.

The Telegraph: Offers two perfect platforms for a bird’s-eye view of the city – providing you can handle the climb. It’s 463 steps to the top of the dome and 414 to the viewing platform.

Visit Tuscany: This huge palace (once home to the Medici) now contains numerous museums including the Palatine (paintings), costume, silver… and the Boboli Gardens of course.
