113.6 proof. the name 1816 comes from the year that John Ross established a trading post, warehouse and swing ferry on the Tennessee river founding what soon became chartanooga. this brand is from the chattanooga whiskey Comspany but currently distilled In Indian. Its a blended of mainly corn with some rye and barley added. Has initial heat although not too much considering the high proof, but softens quickly wish lots of corn flavor. Better with Ice and has a long sweet finish.
