April Bloomfiled and Ken Friedman — the chef and restaurateur behind The Spotted Pig, The Breslin, and The John Dory — recently opened this casual bar & grill in Midtown East's Pod 51 hotel. Read more

The classic burger is an ode to the traditional burger joint while the Salvation burger has a little more culinary flair. Fries are thin and crispy. A nice addition to great NYC burger joints.

The namesake Salvation Burger is a thing of simple brilliance. The ingredients really shine. The fantastically-textured meat and bun hold together until the last bite & the flavors are all wonderful.

I'm becoming an April Bloomfield junkie. Both the salvation and classic burgers are exceptional (I hate American cheese, but her homemade creation was 😋). The coffee/donut shake is also 💯

No surprises here. Everyone's burger looks the same and it's awesome. The classic was delicious and the salvation burger had great flavor!!

Great service, good for a group, the cheese flatbread was dope, and the wood roasted oysters totally retained the ocean flavor of the liquor liquid you slurp from Raw oysters

Sit at the bar in front of the open kitchen. Great way to check out all of the burgers and decide which one you want!

Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had. Get the classic. Also don't sleep on the romaine salad aka Caesar salad. Long wait but worth it.

The salvation burger is one of the best in the city. Pickles, chili, and all the deserts are amazing, you can't go wrong here with anything.

Loved the Classic Burger and the Ramp Burger. However based on the burgers and experience at the Spotted Pig and Breslin, this spot just seemed really overpriced. Would recommend those spots instead.

We sat at the chefs counter and April Bloomfield was making magic. Salvation burger was amazing plus the fried Apple pie

Spice things up with a salvation burger - perfectly caramelized onions and taleggio - amazing. Was there opening night, so it seems like they're still working some kinks out.

did not take long for this to become a top midtown lunch destination; opt for the namesake Salvation Burger if you're feeling adventurous, but the Classic (pictured) looks to be early crowd pleaser

Do NOT get the classic . 2 very over done quarter pounders with some kind of odd cheesy sauce ( good roll though) for $17. Our waitress suggested this one. Fish burger, nice, crispy , fresh on brioche

Past the burgers, which are both amazing! They have whiskey and Coke on tap--but the cherry on top is the banana cream pie.

Get either The Salvation Burger or The Classic. For dessert, get the Peanut Butter Smores (tastes amazing!)

The Classic didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Good but can't justify the price. And whoa, that cheese is a salt BOMB. And that's coming from someone who routinely makes it rain Pecorino Romano.

The salvation burger changes. I had one with Bleu Cheese and was a super let down. The classic is good, tastes like In-n-Out but 4x as expensive. The fries are tasty but just consistently over salty

I tried the Salvation burger, the meat was good and well cooked, the cheese and the caramelized onions made it too salty and the bread is too "chewy" it's overall a good burger but not worth 25$

Extremely disappointing. Pictured: the $12 Poutine, which makes it ~$1/fry. Tried the Classic Burger (very meh, nothing special) and the sub-par Fish Sandwich (handful of coleslaw + very fishy smell).

You can't switch toppings between burgers at all, so if you're vegetarian you're stuck with whatever they have listed on the menu
