Pizza supreme is amazing: perfect meat ingredients, sweet aftertaste. Sausage & broccoli rabepizza, on the other hand, not so much: bitterness of broccoli & saltiness of sausage was too overpowering.
Love this place! Their Vodka pie with a fresh arugula is so GOOD! Mozz sticks, pastas are simple yet great tasting. One can tell they use really good ingredients. Must try!
Invite hungry friends who will let you eat off their plate—almost everything is served family style—and fight over the rich & crusty eggplant parmagiano or the spicy sausage & broccoli rabecavatelli. Read more
Good pizza. Great service. Excellent atmosphere. 6 slices in a small-the large is very big. I wanted to get the large, but I wanted to walk instead of roll out the front door.
It is quaint, intimate, and comfortable, and the food never fails to amaze and please us. With a full gluten free menu, this place welcomes all. Read more
Between the classic pizza and the thai dye, the dye has me hooked! Spaghetti was unique, being thin and freshly made from scratch, with a homemade sauce taste to finish!
V. good, outstanding service. We brunched with rubirosa salad, ricottapancakes, panna cotta with rhubarb and strawberry sauce - delish. Pizzas ok. ambiance leaves a lot to be desired.
Had a great experience- the caprese salad and Rubirosa Supreme pizza are incredible. The Black Manhattan is an excellent cocktail pairing to go along with them, too.
Their velvet curtain entrance made me hesitate at first, but I went in. The Tie-Dye pizza is the best thing I ever had. They not only serve pies, but have rice balls and savory handmade pasta.
If you are a fan of very thin (almost cracker-like) crust, the pizza here is the best we have found of that style in the city - the large-format lasagna and chicken parm are also excellent.
As you think about what pizza to order, don't overlook the appetizers and sides. The calamari might have been the best I've had and the Brussels sprouts with bacon, real good
I want someone to create an app that sends me a personal alert when their black kalepizza is their special. Or better yet, just sends the pizza straight to my apt, because let's just save time.
One of the best chicken parm plates in the city. It's the size of a large dinner plate and comes with a healthy bowl of spaghetti alla chitarra for $22.
Great pizza even for the EU standards:) Try the large sized pizza but order 2 different kinds from the menu. It's not mentioned there but it is an option!
You pretty much can't go wrong anywhere on the menu. Start with a caprese or arugula salad. Onwards to the ravioli. Or pizza (fresca). Ask to sit in the back, it's quieter.
Village Voice is proud to welcome Rubirosa to the 2014 Choice Eats food fest! http://bit.ly/1cRzdNV. Their delicious thin-crust pizza will remind you what pizza should always taste like.
Super thin-crust pizza with a variety of toppings are served at Rubirosa. Try the Vodka variety, but the Supreme (with tomato, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and roasted garlic) is the best.
The vodka pizza is one of the best thin crust pizzas you'll ever eat, but I dunno if I'd go as far as saying best in NYC. That honor sticks with Roberta's for me.
"Rubirosa is a classic NYC establishment famous for their vodka and tie-dye pies, not for their Spaghetti & Meatballs, which also happens to be amazing." - Alexa Mehraban, @EatingNYC Read more
A very small, dark and crowdedrestaurant, but serves delicious pizzas of the manhattan. As a tourist I tried 7 best pizza restaurants, rubirosa is the yummiest👌👌👌
It's not on the menu but if you ask, they will split pizza toppings for you. I suggest getting a pie with half Vodka and half Supreme to get a taste of the best two pies
Very good, very, very thin crust pizza. But prepare for a little heat inside this place. With the exposed light bulbs, candles on tables and furnace in back, you can find yourself a bit overheated.
