Group Exercise Classes: Les Mills Classes
This is the ultimate cardio class! This les mills 2 peak cardio format focuses on athletic conditioning and training by doing plyometrics, running, as well as agility and power moves to get the heart pumping! It also includes some upper and lower body strengthening.
Body Flow
A combined yoga, tai chi, pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
Body Pump
Get on the fast track to a strong and toned body! Les mills body pump utilizes barbell weights and awesome music. This class is perfect for men and women of any fitness level. You don't want to miss this class!
Body Step
This is a les mills step workout that will make you feel alive and energized! Using a height-adjustable step, this exhilarating workout provides cardio blocks to push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning to shape and tone your entire lower body.
Rpm
This class will take you on the ride of your life and is the ultimate indoor group cycling experience. This simulated bike ride is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. You ride at your own pace, whether you want a tough ride or want to build endurance. A sweat towel and water bottle are required. Bikes are limited, one day advanced registration is available for our 23 bikes. Classes that are recommended for reservation are all early morning, evening and saturday classes. This is the ultimate cardio class in a shortened 30 minute format!
Body Combat
This is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai.
Body Pump Express
This class contains the same great weight training in a shortened 30 minute format. You work all of the large muscle groups during tracks 1-4: warmup, squats, chest and back.
Cxworx
Looking for a short, sharp workout that’ll inspire you to the next level of fitness, while strengthening and toning your body? Cx30 is for you! This 30 minute class really hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body. It’s ideal for tightening your tummy and butt, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.

Turbo Kick
Turbo kick is a class suited for those who love high energy workouts. This class takes cardio kickboxing to another level! Turbo kick choreographers have developed movement patterns, combinations and techniques specific to the ancient sport of muay thai boxing. This team has developed the ultimate cardiovascular challenge complete with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training and a tai-chi like cool-down.
Core Body Strength
Designed to improve functional strength, body composition, coordination and balance, this 60-minute, full body, integrated resistance training class may also improve your cardiovascular fitness.

Swimming Lessons
Exploration 1: Ages 6-24 Months
This class is for infants and adults to enjoy together in the comfort of the warm water pool. An instructor will lead the group through a series of developmentally appropriate water activities.
Voyagers: Age 3
This is an introduction to swimming for toddlers who have attended exploration 1 and/or exploration 2 and been promoted into this class. Participants will learn water independence, basic water movement, and floats in the warm water pool. Adults are not required to enter the water with their child.
Journey 1: Ages 4-7
This course is for children who are comfortable in the water and have some water experience. The focus will be on floating, kicking, breathing, and beginner strokes.
Journey 3: Ages 4-7
Participants should be able to swim one length of the pool and will continue to work on skills from the previous level. Participants will learn breaststroke, backstroke and start building their endurance.
Discovery 2: Ages 7-15
Children must know how to float, glide, kick by themselves and have basic stroke knowledge. They will learn freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.
Challenge Novice: Ages 7-15
This class is for children who know basic freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. They will work on developing these strokes, adding endurance and elementary backstroke, butterfly and sidestroke.
Challenge Expert: Ages 7-15
Participants should be able to swim one length of the pool and will continue to work on skills from the previous level. Participants will learn breaststroke, backstroke and start building their endurance.
Adult Learn to Swim - Intermediate
We will work at improving your front and back crawl strokes, endurance levels and add other strokes as desired. You should be able to swim 100 yards on your front and back.
Home School Swim Program (Ages 5-16)
Come join us for an exciting time of open swim and swim lessons. Your child will receive a swim lesson appropriate for their ability and age and ejoy splash time with other children in our leisure pool. Minimum participants 10/max 17.
Swim for Fitness: Ages 16+
This course is designed for proficient swimmers interested in learning skills of fitness swimming. An instructor will guide participants through various workouts, all while providing tips about building endurance and improving technique. The workouts will cover a wide range or drills and strokes to offer a varied approach.
Exploration 2: Ages 24 Months to 3 Years
This class is for toddlers and adults to enjoy and learn together in the comfort of the warm water pool. An instructor will lead the adults through different swim exercises and activities to promote independent swimming for the child.
Pre-Journey 1: Ages 4-7
This class is for children who have had no swimming experience or who may be timid in getting into the water.
Journey 2: Ages 4-7

This class is for adults who are not afraid of the water, but need to learn the basic skills of swimming.
Terrified of Water
The instructor will help you to deal with any fears that you may have about the water environment, while teaching you basic swimming skills, such as front and back floats and freestyle stroke.
Private Swimming Lessons
Available to swimmers of all ages and abilities, private swim lessons are a great way to get personalized instruction tailored exactly to a swimmer's individual needs. We will pair you up with one of our qualified instructors and can set up a time that works for your schedule. Water Aerobics

A great overall workout and conditioning class that includes a warm-up, cardio and strengthening and cool down.
Ai Chi
An end of the week breather! Relax and get a great workout while our instructors lead you through a series of controlled movements and breathing techniques set to serene music.
Tummies and Thighs
This class is designed to work your abs and your thighs (plus your legs and lower back) .
Osf Multiple Sclerosis Class
In this class, exercise focuses on stretching, joint range of motion, muscle strengthening, balance and coordination in a positive social setting. A physician consent form is required. Call 282-1605 to register. Pricing available for 6 week class sessions.
Run the Rapids
This class will give you the benefits of running without all the stress on your body. Water shoes are recommended.
Senior Fit
A great class set to upbeat music for the mature aerobics fan. Held in the warm water therapy pool, this class is great for those who want strengthening, additional flexibility, and those with joint problems.
Osf Arthritis Classes
Exercises are performed in the warm water pool. Entrance to the pool is by steps with handrails or a chair lift. Participants do not need to know how to swim. A physician consent form is required. Call 282-1605 to register. Pricing available for 6 week class sessions. This class is offereed several times daily.

Lifeguard Training
Get a job you can feel good about–lifeguarding! Our classes provide you with the proper training. You must attend all three classes in a session and pass the lifeguard testing.
Preschool Splash

Join us for this parent-child program in the leisure pool. Children ages 1–5 enjoy the splash features and play stations with a parent/guardian who is dressed to swim. There is no charge for adults, but you must be in the water with your child. Members are free.
Brownies/Girl Scouts or Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts

Bring your troop in for an afternoon of fun at a special rate of 3.00/child. For an additional 2.00/child our instructors will help your troop earn their swimming badges. Please call 282-1531 for details and available times.

Book your next party at the aqua plex, the huge indoor aquatic park inside the riverplex. Make your child's birthday a memorable one - not only for them, but for you as well. We set it up and clean it up - all you have to do is show up! Our package includes personalized cake from trefzger's bakery, ice cream, drinks, table covering, plates, candles, napkins and utensils. Your group swims for 90 minutes during open swim time and then has a private party room for 30 minutes (w/an attendant) . Please note that towels are not provided.

Arthritis Aquatic Exercise in the Warm Water
• A workout in the water is one of the safest ways you can exercise.• It is also fun! The buoyancy of the water removes the stress from your joints, muscles and bones.• Moving your muscles and joints help lessen your stiffness and pain.• Shower rooms with lockers, sauna and whirlpool are available and convenient.• You do not have to know how to swim.• The warm water pool has water that is 3'6" to 5' deep.• You enter the pool using steps with a handrail or using a chair lift.• Classes are 50 minutes.• Check our schedule for available classes.• Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available.
Individualized Training
OSF Saint Francis Arthritis Services and Medical Exercise offer the opportunity to expand your current fitness level through an individualized exercise program. Exercise specialists have designed fitness programs for people with Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Arthritis and Cardiac conditions. Individualized training can help improve strength, flexibility and endurance. The initial visit includes a review of your medical history, personal goals and instructions on the training equipment. This approach provides medical knowledge of land and aquatic techniques to design a safe and effective fitness program to assist in obtaining your personal goals. Worksite Wellness: Professional Wellness/Program Screenings
Blood Pressure Screening
Screenings are available on-site by one of our staff professionals. High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Educational material and recording cards are provided.
Lunch and Learn
Lunch and learn is a 30 minute presentation by one of our health professionals on a wellness topic. Examples include, but are not limited to, hypertension awareness, safe exercise, weight management, goal setting, stress management, coronary risk factors and nutrition. You can even suggest a topic. Employees bring their lunch and eat while the topic is discussed.
CPR Class For the Work Place
This class is available for on-site presentations. It is sanctioned by the American Heart Association and its targeted audience is lay people wanting to learn rescue techniques to use on their loved ones. There are two components, adult and pediatric. They are each approximately 90 minutes long and can be presented separately or together.
Lipid and Blood Sugar Screenings
Lipid screenings are offered on-site. Elevated cholesterol levels are associated with increased risk for heart disease. Blood is drawn by one of our professionals and is tested for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides.
Stretch and Learn
This is a 30 minute class that presents various stretches and their benefits. An exercise specialist demonstrates proper stretching form and safety.

According to the Surgeon General, 61% of adults in the United States were overweight in 1999. In 2000, the economic cost of obesity was $117 billion.
Nutritional Counseling
Nutritional Counseling is available on-site by our Registered Dietitian. She can assess nutritional needs and help formulate a personal nutrition plan for optimal health.
Smoking Cessation
The Centers for Disease Control cites smoking as the leading cause of preventable death in the United States. It contributes to 440,000 deaths each year and accounts for more than $75 billion dollars in direct medical costs.
Nutritional Assessment
This assessment is done through a computer analysis of your three to five day food journals. This assesses your nutritional intake of calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat, cholesterol, sodium, vitamins and minerals.
Bod Pod
The BOD POD is the most accurate body composition assessment device available. The BOD POD body fat analysis system is 98% accurate. The scale in unable to differentiate between muscle and fat. A person may not appear to be overweight but may be at risk for disease because of a high percentage of body fat. Inversely, a person who is technically overweight according to body mass index scales (body builders) are not at risk due to a healthy percentage of body fat. The BOD POD reveals the percentage of weight that is fat mass and how much is lean mass. In addition, the BOD POD can help uncover the effectiveness of your workouts by tracking the changes in the distribution of muscle and fat over time. Cost per individual $35.00.
Freedom from Smoking
This is a six week behavior change program designed by the American Lung Association to assist with smoking cessation. Class is limited to 20 individuals. This program meets weekly for one and a half hours.
