Delicious! Perfectly seasoned, sweet & spicy, all balanced to perfection. It's the best BBQ in KC! My favs are the pork, ribs & THE BRISKET. Q2GO is awesome.
Call me a q39 hipster but we've been coming since Nam'. Pitmaster brisket sandwich. So far 4/4 of my out of town Wisconsin guests (at different times) said it was the best sandwich they've EVER had.
Maybe I'm an amateur, but more likely I'm well travelled & familiar. I got the Judges plate: Ribs, Sausage, Brisket + xtra Brisket... the food was some of the best restaurant smoke I have ever had.
Burnt ends are the best. Combo platters are great value there's no bad choices . Service is spot on from top to bottom. Anytime you're in this area Q39 Barbeque is a no-brainer. You must come here.
This place is phenomenal! Gotta try the competition plate. The brisket is a little underwhelming, but the chicken and ribs more than make up for it. It is pricier than a lot of other bbq places in KC.
Great addition to KC. For all who are bored with Jack Stack for out of townbusiness lunches Q39 finally has an answer. Inviting space and outstanding BBQ. My rec: Chicken, brisket, sausage.
Had the 3 meat platter per Josh’s (bartender) recommendation. Burnt ends, pulled pork and brisket were mouth watering. Great friendly service. Best bbq I’ve had in town!!!!!
Get a flight of local beers to wash down some incredible 'que. Whether you're looking for classics or innovation, Q39 has you covered. There's even a veggie burger for non-meat eaters!
This might possibly have been the finest BBQrestaurant I've ever eaten at. I had ribs and biscuit, coleslaw and baked beans. We had a couple of really good bloody Mary's too. I would like return.
Burnt ends is the only thing you should get here. Cucumber and apple salad on the side for balance. Prendergast bourbon from Toms Town hit the spot. Poutine to start was great, had burnt ends ha.
If you are solo or just out with that special someone, sitting at the bar can make the difference between eating right away or waiting, but the wait is worth it. Especially the burnt end burger.
The burnt end burger is incredible! The Mac cheese with bread crumble is amazing. No matter the food or the side, all the flavors mesh fantastically! Great food and awesome atmosphere!!
Kansas City's new favorite BBQ spot. The chef has won the American Royal and it's the first modern take on KC's classic BBQ. They are ALWAYS busy so make sure you get a reservation.
Absolutely everything I have tried in four visits, all different, have been too notch. My Texan wife even loved it and is still talking about the burnt ends.
We got the Judges Platter with brisket, chicken and pulled pork. And a side of ribs. All of it was a good apple wood taste to it, and our server was very friendly.
Ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and the grilled pork belly sandwich were all great. I didn’t care for the potato salad but the fries and applecoleslaw were good.
I reaaaaally don’t understand the burnt ends hype 🤷🏼♀️ I ordered them because I thought I’d be missing out, but you really won’t. Don’t feel pressured 🤣
Real close to Char Bar if you feel like a double-bbq assault is a thing you need to do. Burnt ends are good, but not as good as Char Bar's. Fanciest BBQ joint in town.
A few years ago we made the BBQ pilgrimage to Lockhart, TX. The brisket and sausage ruined me for what was available in KC. Q39 has brought some brisket and sausage redemption to KC.
Who runs out of main menu items at 7 on a weekend? Have they never experienced a weekend rush before? The small piece of brisket I tried was delicious. But they didn't have enough to make a meal.
