Pulqueria is the Mexican spinoff from the owners of Apotheke. In addition to food they offer beer, Micheladas, and Mexican inspired tequila and mezcal-based cocktails like pulques and Jarrito Locos.
Awesome basementrestaurant on Doyers street! Good margaritas (expensive though!) Went on a Thursday night and the DJ had the whole bar on the dance floor 💃🏽
The music in here is awesome. No problem with doorman if you call ahead. The drinks are super tasty. We were totally surprised by uber cool ambience of this place. This is my new secret spot. ;)

Great cocktails and a fun vibe. Fun throwback 90s hip hop and dancing too. Came for a birthday and loved it! Try the Smoking Gun cocktail and their spicyTecates.
We had a large group and a menu to select from. EVERYTHING was absolutely awesome and the service was just as great. Thank you to the staff for a fabulous evening!
Went on Thursday night, no problem to get in. Dj was great, loved the music and we danced till they closed. The Mexican staff is super nice. Food is good but pricey.Great drinks.Loved the place!
Restaurant/Club in basement. Great (but quite loud) music plays in restaurant and bar/dance floor area. Recommend: Gringo Chicken Tacos, Tacos de Camarones, Esquites. Great Margarita list!
The pineapple bomb is fun. Made with Pineapple, patron reposado, coconut, habanero, served frozen in a whole cored pineapple. Expensive but fun to share.
I went for my birthday with my boyfriend and had a great time. I love the interior and how it's sort of hidden. The guac was great and the drinks were tasty too.
Apparently according to the (extremely nice) bartender this is the only pulque place in N America. Awesome food, awesomely liberal with free drinks. Highly recommended :)
Not easy to find your first time. Doyers Street looks like an alley and there's no sign out front. Just take a leap of faith and go down the stairwell with the black and white square pattern.
ask for Sean @ the bar. adorable! order the sandia pulque and then the jalapeñocucumber margarita. then eat the pumpkindip & street corn. yum! luv it here.
Go ahead, walk down that alley. It's the right place. Fear not, walk down those stairs into never land and choose the blue door. Then, all of the guac and queso.

This subterranean Mexican can improbably - yet credibly - lay claim to being one of the most expensiverestaurants in Chinatown. You're paying for the atmosphere, although the food & cocktails are 😋

Don't be swayed by the scary door to get in. Try the pumpkin seed dip. Though this place is thoroughly hip, their entrees are still enough to fill you up.
Inspired by Mexico City taverns with same name, Pulqueria features pulque tequila & mezcal cocktails, & our food is dedicated to the colorful flavors of Mexico.
