Super romantic. Go there for special occasions (proposal, anniversaries...) Get the duck. The wellington is good, but I personally think it's a bit overrated.

The restaurant was actually Aaron Burr’s carriage house, although rumor has it that Burr is not alone. It’s estimated that the establishment is haunted by 20 ghosts. Read more

Ambience: Very good.Food: Very okay (vegetarian) Nothing compared to Per Se; Daniel and Jean George's.Service: Good.Title: Hyped. Nothing oozed romance; not the most romantic restaurant of NYC.

Overrated. Don't eat the cioppino - very fishy & mussels not fresh. Hv the pork belly for starter instead. For mains, don't hv the cod - very rubbery. Lobsters were out so din get to try what I wanted

Atmosphere was great, corresponding to all other reviews, but David was our server; very cold. Food was decent but a good server makes the dinner an event. Disappointed.

HauntedNYC: Rumored to be haunted by Aaron Burr and his daughter, Theodosia, runaway slaves, and a female spirit who protects the restaurant by causing rude, "nasty" people to fight.
