check in online & save time. There is no need to stand in those long lines at the check in counters! If you have bags, most airlines have a fast bag drop service.
This is for sure out best airport in South Africa. It is good and effective. Charging stations are still lacking...

Buy a sim card only from Woolies 1 rand. The providers charge 20 rand. Don't use bureau de changes, withdraw from visa better rate. Btw Gautrain goes up till midnight if you need to use it.
Alcohol has a heightened effect at higher altitudes so please take it easy on the bottle before you board and during flight.- Get a bottle of Clemengold Gin at the Big Five duty free!

The quietest time at this airport is a Sunday morning, simply breeze through security and immigration in under 30 minutes !- Are those security folks doing the right thing or just going through the motions - really cool airport
- There's more than one tax refund desk in case you find a long queue at that first one. Just keep walking.

The timeous arrival of your luggage is not directly proportionate to the speed you walk to the carousel. Slow down.
