Checking in early is always awesome! Chill and relax until your flight
It's a very good airport, very organized and modern in terms of technology
Best spot to arrange for a pick up by family / friends is outside the piece-a-pizza on the Muzz layer

Buy a sim card only from Woolies 1 rand. The providers charge 20 rand. Don't use bureau de changes, withdraw from visa better rate. Btw Gautrain goes up till midnight if you need to use it.
check in online & save time. There is no need to stand in those long lines at the check in counters! If you have bags, most airlines have a fast bag drop service.
Best standards and international customer experience. A lil expensive but what to do. 😁

On the plus side, the queues move fast
Park at Emperors Palace and take the shuttle to the airport, much cheaper and lots to do at Emperors!

Rob ThompsonAugust 14, 2014Arrival is confusing and the help desk can be hard to negotiate. Use free wifi and google!- There's more than one tax refund desk in case you find a long queue at that first one. Just keep walking.
- Park at Emperors Palace and grab the shuttle in. If you sign up for their loyalty card, parking is free!
The quietest time at this airport is a Sunday morning, simply breeze through security and immigration in under 30 minutes !

- Make sure your travel agent knows that you need a Visa Waiver before traveling overseas. Could delay check-in by about 45 min.
