Tennis

Our professionally staffed, full service tennis center at North Haven Health & Racquet offers unsurpassed quality programs and facilities to the general public. Whether you're interested in group or private lessons, social play or USTA league tennis, NHHR has something for you. Our expert tennis instructors create a fun environment and are motivated to take your game to the next level whether you are new to tennis or a tournament player.

Future Stars (Quickstart)

Designed to give players as young as 4 years old the opportunity to have lots of fun while learning the basic skills of tennis

H.I.T. “ High Intensity Tennis” (Advanced Training Program)

Invitation only program that aims to bring the area’s top players together to train.

Junior Development (Ages 8-17)

The junior development program offers a variety of classes each designed to meet the specific needs of a particular player.

Extreme H.I.T (with Movement Training)

Challenging and intense program that incorporates both tennis drill work and sports specific movement training with one of our expert personal trainers.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis has become a big hit and fun time, combining the best features of tennis with cardio cardiovascular exercise, delivering a high energy, full body work out. It is a very social and fun class for all ability levels and a great introduction for those who have never played before.

Friday & Sunday Night Party ( Adults 19 +)

Our Friday and Sunday Night Tennis Parties for adults have organized matches and the goal is to provide a fun, healthy, and relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Refreshments also provided.

Programs

North Haven Health and Racquet has been improving the health and sculpting the bodies of thousands of people since 1974. We have the largest fitness center in New Haven county to accommodate a steady and consistent membership base. There are no waiting lists, sign-up sheets, or scrambles by members to get to equipment. The reason? We are the only club with six circuits of strength equipment. We have two lines of Lifefitness, FreeMotion, Precor, Nautilus, and Magnum brands. We also boast a large free weight area with (2) full sets of dumbbells and extensive Olympic benches. If cardio is your niche, we have over 80 pieces, including Precor, Lifefitness, and Cybex cross-trainers. In addition, Lifefitness, FreeMotion, and Precor treadmills round out a room that also includes Stairmasters and bikes.

Group Fitness

NHHR is committed to making your experience at our club more interesting that your average "gym". We offer Spinning classes every day and an aerobics schedule that features Yoga, Insanity, Zumba, Bokwa among many others. All of our instructors are certified and many have been teaching with us for more than five years. Try a class with your weight and cardio routine!
