DON'T STAMPEDE FOR A TRAIN THAT LEAVES IN 10 MINUTES AND THROW OLD LADIES TO THE GROUND!
The worst place ever if you're in a rush. Always long lines filled with people who don't know how to purchase a ticket. Also the ticket window attendants are rude.
Be sure to curse Robert Moses for having this place built!
Go to the sub level to enter NJ Transit tracks, no line...
Dont clog the main area while watching what track your train is on
The bathrooms are exquisite. Don't forget to tip the towel guy!
watch out for people with rolling luggage, they think they own the place
They have very limited seating, so don't come too early.
After 3 pm the information booth can tell you what track your train will be on before its posted
Right before train left 3 girls sprinted for the train. 2 made it in. Tip: run faster.
Natasha TynesDecember 10, 2010Use the Acela Lounge even if you don't have an Acela ticket. They don't check ur ticket and they don't seem to care.
A wondrous smell of wet dog and body odor throughout the station. Maybe because this is Grand Central Homeless Terminal?
This place is a pit and my least favorite stop in the city.
Don't give change to the guy going to Newark, he asks people every day.
Some days the live musicians here are rad! Some days there not...

Just take the stairs... it's easier than trying to pass people on the escalator.
