Definitely arrive early, because you can easily spend several hours at this museum. They are open Wednesday through Saturday at 10 a.m.

Gorgeous place. Be sure to stop in Rozelle Court for lunch. And it's a great consideration for a wedding reception venue.

Wed, 10- 4 pm Thurs, Fri, 10-9 pm Sat, 10-5 pm Sun, Noon- 5 pm Admission is free to the Nelson-Atkins every day. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Newbies get a free pack of museum note cards at the info desk. And the mobile guide tour (for iPhone and Android) is terrific (audio and text).

They are installing a new steel tree sculpture by Roxy Paine in the lawn today. It's a beautiful day to play in the grass and watch them install it.
