An art museum on Trafalgar Square, definitely take one of the free guided tours at 11:30AM or 2:30PM. Get there via Charing Cross stop on the Bakerloo or Northern lines.
In case you wandered in too fast to notice the key on your way in, the wallpaper in each room is colour coded by time periods: BLUE = 1250-1500, RED = 1600-1700, GREEN = 1700-1900.

Great free (donation suggested £) museum you should definitely go to for at least a little while when checking out other sights. It's free, nothing to loose right?
I love it! The two times I was in London I needed to visit and see my favorite painting: Les Parapluies. Reserve at least a whole evening to fully appreciate the museum.
