#tribrewtour - A conversation between @MerlinUWard, @AboveTheStatic and me resulted in a plan to visit all breweries in NY to start with. Here are the suggestions from @AboveTheStatic ;-)
Brew York: This Long Island brewery, open since 1998, serves free samples in their tasting room and holds great annual events, like a cask festival every April and an anniversary concert each August.
ecomagination: The 1st NYC company to use 100% wind-generated electricity; Brooklyn Brewery warehouse has solar panels that provide 1/3 of total power needs and recycles all of its bottles & spent grain
444 Saw Mill River Rd (at Hunter Ln.), Elmsford, NY

Brew York: This Westchester-based brewery is known for its line of small-batch barrel-aged beers, released regularly here. They've outgrown their Pleasantville location and will move to Elmsford in late '11.
Brew York: For most of the past decade, this was the only brewpub in New York. It's still the most scenic: go here in the evening and have a house-made brew while you watch the sun set over the Hudson.
Brew York: This brewery - founded by an anesthesiologist in 2010 - is installing a 30-barrel brewhouse to increase capacity. That means more great beers like their Robert Moses Pale Ale and Massive IPA!
Find. Eat. Drink.: Take the small tour, but more importantly try samples of their beer on tap (including the excellent root beer) and pick up a growler of your favorite to go.
Dan Campis: Start tasting from beer one and go right down the list. They order them from most mild to most hoppy. Once your done tasting, definitely grab a growler.
Brew York: While not currently open to the public for tours, this brewery - open since 2005 - is the birthplace of off-the-wall, experimental beer that has made it one of the most-beloved breweries in New York.
beermarkapp: The seasonal drafts are what make every trip to this venue a new, exciting experience. As for the standards, everything is great. There's nothing quite like the Double-White.
visitPA: Come hungry and thirsty. Leave happy. But not before filling up a Growler first! It's the perfect way to enjoy draft-only brands, limited releases, or any of your Victory favorites.
Brew York: New York's newest brewpub, this restaurant brews the beer they serve with a two-barrel system in their basement. They call it a "gastrobrewery" - with great food perfectly fit for pairing.
