Michael Muse: Best Honky Tonk around - this is a CANT miss for any first timer to Austin. Bring your boots and hit the dance floor.

Michael Muse: Make sure to catch some live music
4. Donn's Depot
Michael Muse: Live music and an ambiance that takes you to a simpler time
5. Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill
Michael Muse: Awesome big porch thats great for groups. Get a reservation, though the bar isnt a bad place to hang out.
6. Iron Works Barbecue
Michael Muse: Too many good BBQ places in Austin to pick favorites, for some reason this one made me feel most at home. Delicious BBQ sauce.
7. Gourdough's
Michael Muse: These things are pure calories. They are also fantastically delicious. Everything is bigger in Texas, including the waistlines
8. Manuel's
Michael Muse: Mole enchiladas. They dont look that appealing, but they are FANTASTIC
9. Butler Park (formerly Town Lake Park)
Michael Muse: Wear a bathing suit, grab some kayaks, and make sure to jump in the lake
