Staff is very nice and helpful of places to eat and visit! Very personable. And yes the 6th floor ocean view is the best and the new tower close to the Hyatt is not as crowded so it's relaxing!

higher floor, better views. but lower = easy access to beach and pools. if you have an ocean view suite/villa, you will be furthest from the elevators. oh, and parking is a bitch.
Best location & place to stay on Maui. Awesome pool area. The only negative is the parking structure in which parking can be tight.- At the pool, hang out on the chairs facing the ocean (in the gravel area) for a great view of Lana'i and whales frolicking in the ocean!!
Swim in the pools in the early morning.. you might have them all to yourself! And enjoy the hammocks.

Rent a cabana on the front by the ocean. Worth the money for the day.- The Mai Tais at the pool bar are the best I've ever had.
Try to request for a higher room floor if you can, you'll end up getting a better ocean view
