- Justin OrdovezaJanuary 7, 2017Great hole on the wall near Times Square. The food is affordable and the quality is good. They serve cafeteria style. The thing to get is the Cuban sandwich.
- Rachel KingAugust 2, 2016Grub St.: This bustling old Latin luncheonette (bright red counter, bright yellow menu board) dishes up good cheer and soulful chow in equal measure, and also smooshes the city’s second best Cubano.Upvoted Sep 4
- One of my favorite places in NYC. I’ve been coming since 2004. Faves are octopus salad, roast chicken, soups, the best Cuban sandwich, oxtail
- Kimmie OhhSeptember 1, 2019They have daily specials on weekdays from 1030AM-5PM. They’re closed on Sundays. Portion sizes are huge! The workers are friendly too!
- In SpectorFebruary 28, 2014Everything is delicious. Been coming here 2 to 3 times a week for past month or so and it never disappoints. I'm not Latin but I would assume this is what latin home cooking is like.
- Kirk EdmondsonJanuary 27, 2017Best Cuban sandwich in NYC! Great bread that is appropriately flattened. Filled with unctuous pork & salami and improved with tangy mustard and pickles.
- Zayed KhanAugust 29, 2014Don't be late to lunch. They have the most incredibly juicy tender chicken, the kind you can gently pull off with a plastic fork, without needing a knife. But it gets a tad bit dry as the day goes on.
- Paul SanwaldDecember 17, 2015Coffee and waitstaff are awesome, so are sandwiches. An oasis in an otherwise horrible part of town. Delivery guys having a beer after their shift, this place is just awesome.
- Alina BeckerMarch 31, 2017Delicious food and very friendly staff! We loved the breakfast and the coffee as well as the lunch. We came three days in a row and had a good time
- Maria MarquesAugust 2, 2012Cuban Sandwiches. Mini-kitchen for churning out porky delights. There's a griddle used for melting cheese onto each roll so they're good and crunchy before they're stuffed with meat, pickles. <10$
- Cuban sandwich or rice and beans (I like the Moros, mixed white rice and black beans) with either roast chicken, pernil, octopus salad, or oxtail
- The BEST Cuban food in the Times Square area! You have to try this Latino food, and cheap prices! If out here for lunch might want to get 2 Coronas for $5 bucks Cuban Sandwich, the BEST of the BEST
- Best Cuban I've had in the tri-sate! The chicken chunks with their garlic sauce is amazing & authentic! My co-workers and i go to spot every Friday! 👍
- BrandonOctober 13, 2017Most hidden gem for a true cubano. Worth going through Times Square to get one.
- Don't leave without getting a Cuban sandwich. Its messy and delicious.
- Joe CrouchOctober 14, 2016Fantastic Cuban food. Also great Manhattan experience. Very small and crowded, get food to go. I recommend the pulled pork or pork sandwich.
- Norman EllisNovember 13, 2011When I worked in the area this was my go to place for lunch. I eat here anytime I'm near. The price is right and the food always delicious. Whether its pulpo, bacalao, or pernil it's all good!
- The Wall Street JournalJuly 28, 2010The slow-roasted shredded pork (a Wednesday special, $9 with rice and beans) is delicious, as is the grilled Cuban sandwich ($6), which includes salami as well as garlic-marinated pork. Read more
- Argelys OriachSeptember 16, 2016Relatively inexpensive as the entree portions are huge. The cuban sandwich is great! The rice and beans are also delicious.
- Serious EatsMarch 29, 2013Cheap hole in the wall diner in the heart of midtown, an unlikely but delicious source for Cubanos and other sandwiches.
- Rosemary DorsettJuly 27, 2013Delicious dive for amazing Cuban food - all under $10. Go for the cubano sandwich or crispy chicken with a side of beans.
- Kelly CohanMay 18, 2016Authentic and friendly. We weren't sure what our kids would eat, so they gave us some extra samples
- Jeff SchroerAugust 23, 2013Best Cuban sandwich in the city. Order directly with sandwich guy up front, pay at register. compliment with housemade lemonade.
- Matthew NicholOctober 21, 2016Small tip. If you get coffee know we they ask you about sugar know that one spoon of sugar is a heaping helping.
- Jeff SchroerApril 25, 2014Order the Cuban sandwich immediately upon entering at counter on left. Pair w/ lemonade. Best cheap lunch in Times Square.
- Barry KwokJuly 23, 2019The rice and plantain sides are so good that I’d be happy with those as an entree.

- Anna HNovember 12, 2015*hands down* thee best and yummiest Cubano sandwich! Indeed a carnivores' perfect sandwich =)
- When you get the Wednesday shredded pork special, say "yes" to the red pickled onions and ask for an extra little container of the side sauce. The pork doesn't NEED the sauce, but it's still great.
- Nicholas OlsonOctober 8, 2013Great Cuban sandwiches, been coming here for years. Today they were charging people $1 extra for "tax" though, seems sketchy.
- Midtown LunchJanuary 12, 2012If they have the octopus salad, get it! Also love the chicken chicharrones and their sandwiches up front. Read more
- Eric CFebruary 18, 2013Cuban sandwich is the best and they gave me free chicharrones?! this place is awesome!
