For the best chocolate around the Grand Place go to Galler,in the little pedestrian street going down towards Bourse. My favorite is the Noir 85
This is a monument that you must not miss—9 spheres made of steel that that has different halls for exhibits and other events as well as a great view of Brussels from the top. Open daily, 10am to 6pm.
It looked like a chain so I wasn't impressed at first - until I tasted the pain au chocolat! I'm not a big fan of them but it was the best I ever tasted & had to buy 2 more. Belgian friend agreed.

Awesome mussels a la Provencal. V tasty. House White also very drinkable. The waitor was rushed off his feet but still nice, attentive and polite. 5 stars!
If you are visiting Brussels don't bother buying a waffle from a street vendor. Spend 3 Euros more, take a seat upstairs in a lovely cafe and enjoy a REAL waffle in peace.
Very good brasserie in Brussels. Outstanding shrimp croquettes and Simmenthal côte a l'os. Impressive seafood banquet. Athmosphere is loud and lively, in a good way. Recommended.
Delicious pasta! Try the eggplant ravioli with the eggplant and tomato sauce, absolutely yummy! I also loved the pepperoni with tagliatelle.

One of the best places for mussels is Le Pré-Salé. A real typical Brussel restaurant in an old butchery, whit an open kitchen.
