Tom Bradley terminal for food if you don't want to go through security
In terminal 5, food is pretty awful. Creative croissant is good. Get to-go and take on the plane.
AA digital boarding passes and boarding QR codes working well at both TSA Check Points and AA Gates (as far as Jul 28, 2010).
Get to the airport early - LAX security lines can be very slow - especially in the morning.

Jess SutichDecember 11, 2012When flying into LA I suggest getting another flight away from LA as it is a terrible place.
Try to get the first available flight out to avoid the crowd.
Not as bad as everyone says for locals - Short walk from curb to gate & plenty of non-stop flights.
Miraculously got through T6 security in like 5 mins when I was extremely late for my red eye to NYC. Gotta hand it to LAX on this one.
If you go through security barefoot, sanitize your feet afterwards.
Check out pinks hot dogs in the international terminal. No lines!!
AA admirals club complimentary drinks wine/beer/well.
