- Lesley KigetJuly 28, 2017The square pizza, with toppings or plain, is worth an hour long subway ride! The spumoni was interesting to try, but you just need to split one for a taste.
- MichelleAugust 19, 2014Skip the slices and go for a few of their amazing squares. The parking lot for the establishment is a bit small so don't even bother and find a space on the street nearby,if you're looking for parking
- Paul KardousAugust 12, 2014The pizza is great, but the Spumoni is where it's at. Go for the mixed Spumoni, or if its a really hot day Cherry Ice, then a Spumoni!
- Simon & SchusterDecember 23, 2010My favorite place for pizza is Spumoni Gardens, in Bensonhurst, where my novel is set. The sauce is so full of zest you want to eat the entire pie, says Suzanne Corso, author of Brooklyn Story. Read more
- StayNYC RentalsAugust 27, 2018One of the best square slices in New York is procured from a window at this old-school South Brooklyn red-sauce joint.

- B NNovember 27, 2010Had my first taste of spumoni here on a hot day in summer '10, fainted from deliciousness but was awakened by the thick steam from a Sicilian pie. May be my fav square slice EVER as in pi pie.
- MarinaMay 8, 2014It's all about the middle slices in the square pie. Lots of sauce and cheese. I'd stay away from the round slice. The square is the shining star.
- David BlackmanSeptember 10, 2014Fantastic square pizza slices that will fill you up for cheap. Ices. Soft serve. Creamsicle soft server. Super fast service.

- Chev WAugust 13, 2022Get a whole pizza. Even if you can’t finish it all in one sitting. Just take it home if you can’t.

- Sam GilAugust 6, 2019Preferred grandma slice but it is very saucy if you don’t like that. Best part was the vibe outside though wasn’t one of my fav slices in city.
- Best square pizza, rice ball parmigiana on the planet! Also a meal isn't complete without spumoni or Italian ices!!
- Jaclyn RFebruary 3, 2019Incredible square pie. Loved it! Really fast service for pick up. Pay in cash to avoid a charge
- I don't think the square pizza quite lives up to all the hype, but that rainbow spumoni is pretty spectacular. But don't be a jabroni. Ordering it in a small paper cup is the only way to go.
- Village VoiceMay 31, 2012It's summer time, which means time for you to enjoy the weather while you grub on pizza, pasta and refreshing ice cream at L&B's outdoor seating area.
- Amung the best pizza places not just in Brooklyn but the NYC area. Their squares transcend space and time.
- TV Food MapsSeptember 14, 2011Seen on Man v. Food, this place is a favorite well before being on the show. The square is the best square I've ever had, hands down. Save some room for the spumoni.
- Fred SayedMay 16, 2013Must get a square , or 1/2 tray of squares or full tray... Life will be better with a square
- Village VoiceNovember 26, 2012Sheet pizza slices with a layer of cheese under the sauce, and dough in the crust that's barely cooked. Critics' pick for best foodie adventure: Gravesend, BK.

- Mike MusarellaDecember 20, 2014Sausage and broccoli rabe is awesome😉😉😉 in a sandwich or over pasta😋😋😋
- Get the square. Always get the square. Then finish up with a cup of spumoni...a pint doesn't hurt either!
- The Corcoran GroupMay 1, 2010Don't be caught ordering a slice. The sicilian squares are the way to go and leave room for spumoni. It's better than ice cream. Enjoy at one of the many outdoor tables.
- BuzzFeedApril 11, 2014Instead of waiting in an hour-long line for grumpy service at Di Fara, enjoy Brooklyn’s actual best pizza (maybe) with a square slice here.
- aside from their infamous sicilian spice, top off your night w/ their vanilla orange swirl ice cream. must have!
- Ramya SampathAugust 4, 2014Of course the Spumoni is amazing, but the soft serve is also the best I've ever had!

- Carol CastanedaApril 14, 2013Amazing food, great sit-down area, and ice cream is wonderful. Prices are great for the portions that they serve.
- I don't even KNOW what's on the menu besides two squares and a rainbow (chocolate, vanilla, pistachio) spumoni. Bring home half a tray and a quart of spumoni for those unwilling to make the trek here.
- Take a minute break in between slices. If you don't, you'll end up eating the whole pie and wonder to yourself how it happened.
