Used to live really close and this was my place to go after a jog around the reservoir. Coffee is pretty good, and so are the pastries (gluten freemuffin is amazing). One of my favs in the hood!
Okay this place is pretty great. Great pastry collection, good coffee and a full menu for the rest of the day/evening. The matchatea cake was delicious.
Pricey but delicious. The Avocado toast is one of the best I’ve had. You might wait a bit for coffee but it’s well worth it. Brewed carefully, and exactly right.
Great coffeeshop with lots of personality. The pastries were fresh and delicious and the coffee was good too. They have good food items on their menu if you’re looking for a quick bite!
Fantastic iced coffee - worth every penny ($5) for a large to go cup, especially if you enjoy it for more than one day. Infused cappuccinos are unique, but $6 is a bit much. Only 2 power outlets.
Love that they have different ways to prepare the coffee. Can even share a pot. place definitely feels more like a brunch place than a Coffee place: good place to meetup/date but not to work
Came back and I've to say I enjoyed the pour over I had the first time around, but the cappuccino on my recent visit was very subpar. On the bright side, the GruyereMushroomMuffin was very good.
The specialty drinks are truly special, i.e., the "Coffee and a Cigarette" features tobacco-infused whipped cream -- act now, before the state forces you to enjoy it on the sidewalk. Read more
Order the brioche donuts. Don't try ordering a salad or soup because you're trying to be healthy -- you'll spend your whole time wallowing in regret because you didn't order the brioche donuts.
really great coffee and tea, but i try to avoid coming here on weekends. it becomes stroller central, and hell hath no fury like entitled hipster moms in a cafe with very limited space.
These folks take what they do seriously. Lots of love put into the food and coffees here. (Sometimes that means it take a while to get your latte, and it's expensive.)
The finest and most exoticcoffee. The slow extraction coffee prepared at your table is great! They use the oldest semi-automated coffee maker. Try the liquid center lollipops! -Vanessa Gonzalez, Laun
The best coffee and espresso I've ever tasted, and having lived in Italy that says a lot. The citrus or vanilla lattes are amazing. Actor Chris Pine lives across the way and is often seen here.
Expect them to be out of stuff. First two things we asked for, they didn't have. Had to compromise, twice. ;) Other than that, LOVE this place. Cute. Great vibe. Easy street parking. Good location.
Coffee beans that were once in the presence of elephants, monkeys, and antelope! Clover style. AND: warm brioche donuts w/ madagascar vanilla cream = heaven on earth
without serious competition nearby, Lamill certainly gets away with shoddy service from snarky employees, and high prices for coffee that is no longer top quality (and hasn't been for several years).
Chat up the guys next store at the retail shop. They know what's up with all the coffee options and have more time to talk. The move: Tall iced + splash of milk tea + small chai.
Go in after 5pm and insist on a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven. Wash it down with a glass of cold milk. Best molecular gastronomical five bucks you'll ever spend.
You'll tweak over this Silver Lake spot where javais brewed seven(!) ways, from hand-dripped to vacuumed. Craving more? Trythe full fit-for-foodies menu with wine or beer.
The Hong Kong milk tea is delicious, lightly sweet and excellent on a chilly evening - it's a great Assam on its own, but steeped in sweetened milk makes it absolutely to die for. Wonderful!
The servers grin their way through descriptions of a variety of coffee preparations and point out the $11,000 Clover machine, a high-tech, one-cup-at-a-time trophy brewer.
