John Booth: Awesome bar, about 30 different beers, ciders and barley wines on tap. Saturday night there was a tasty taco BBQ. The garden is massive and the music is good too.

John Booth: Excellent high end Indian restaurant at the top of the hotel, so also has good views. Enjoy the live music while you eat. Need to wear trousers if you're a man.

John Booth: Free WiFi, high end shops, some good places to eat (2nd floor hong kong noodle and congee is highly recommended) and a City Super in the basement.
John Booth: Yes bargains can be found but so can disappointment. In general you get what you pay for (unless you've been ripped off). For mens shirts Jennifer (237) is hard to beat, 100-150 RMB per shirt.
John Booth: A cut above places like dragonfly, relaxing, well designed rooms, good massages and if you're in town for while pretty good value with a membership card. Highly recommended.
John Booth: Small cafe, perfectly formed coffee. Some of the best coffee in shanghai, they have espresso based drinks and a good range of single origin coffee to choose from.
John Booth: Food is mostly good, a few dishes have a twist too many like the tomato salad with some kind of horseradish sorbet. Cocktails are decent but not outstanding. The decor is the real winner here.
John Booth: Cool bar with some interesting art inside, love the old bed spring divider door. Could do with a few more cocktails on the menu but the London Evening is pretty tasty.
