Jane has become so crowded with long lines; the service is so slow and inefficient. It's unpleasant to wait in line and impossible to enjoy a meal with the traffic that rubs up against your table.

The staff seems to be waiting for their "artistic career" to lift up, so they will hate you while they give you the stinky eye. The food reflects their broken dreams as well.
