Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards

We grew up on this land, so we know every inch of it. We grew up with winemaking, too, and while it would be ridiculous to say we know everything there is to know about the art, what we do know enables us to make some amazing, award-winning wines. Lots of wine, lots of awards.

Because in the end, that's what really matters.

Descriptors the lemon and grassiness of the new zealand sauvignon blanc along with the crisp acidity and minerality of the finger lakes riesling pairs well with the exotically perfumed fruitiness of the finger lakes gewurztraminer. We have blended the best of two wine worlds together to create an elegant and affordable wine.

Bronze - jerry mead new world & finger lakes international. Descriptors - nose: baking spices, orange rind, strawberry palate: lighter bodied style, flavors or strawberry with notes of cola.

Bronze - riverside international, bronze - jerry mead's new world international. Descriptors - nose: bing cherry, café mocha. Palate: red fruits with notes of anise and chocolate

Descriptors - deep ruby-purple color. The south american malbec brings aromas of black berries and robust spice with ample structure and a hint of wood smoke on the finish. The finger lakes cabernet franc and merlot add brightness with ripe plum, violet and mild tannins. We have blended the best of two worlds to create an elegant and affordable wine.

Gold - ny wine & food classic, silver - atlantic seaboard. Descriptors - with a medium-dry finish; this crisp, refreshing hard cider is a bounty of flavor from locally sourced apples.

Best of category - jefferson cup, double gold - finger lakes international. Descriptors - lush fruit character and firm acidity with a burst of peach, pineapple and orange blossom.

Double gold - american wine society & florida state fair. Descriptors - the flavor of freshly-squeezed niagara grape juice. Sweet, refreshing and mouth-watering.

Descriptors - wake up your taste buds with this new twist on traditional sangria. The ultimate in refreshing, our white cat sangria combines a premium blend of pineapple, peach, and passion fruit with wine.

Over the next six generations, various Hazlitts farmed the land, raised families and made wine. OK, we don't know for sure that they all made wine, but given the great grapes that grow here and the current generation's track record for producing amazing wine, we've got a feeling they did.
