    Flying standby on AirTran to LGA? Tired of not getting a seat? Fly to HPN instead! Then take the bus to the White Plains Metro North train station, and from there it's under an hour to Grand Central.

    Want to fly into an airport with crappy customer service, this is the place. The airport floor was dirty, napkins, straws, just trash! The people working the restaurants are unhelpful and rude.

    Use the security gates at the end of the terminals instead of the center security. Most people don't know about them and you will get through in half the time.
