An amazing place. Make reservations in advance so you can get a seat; otherwise, suffer the inevitable wrath of the doorman. http://www.uzonyc.com/?p=784
The sausage plate is excellent and shareable. The charcuterie plate is also excellent and comes with a small jar of whipped lardo! Get some Sleep Bowmore Punch as well.
The highlight is the ambiance. Food was ok but I would not go out of my way to dine here. Not a lot of standing room. Mainly for dining. Good for a beer or two.
Make sure to get a visit from the fabulous woman in a long black gown. Ask her multiple questions about what era she's from. She's very sharp ;) Couldn't trip her up.
The integration with Sleep No More (actors roaming the bar in character) is pretty cool. Get the Port de Flip (sp?), it's chocolate+alcohol. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
There are actually *six* washrooms. Three facing the bar, and three more if you walk past them and hang a right towards the balcony. These other three are always unoccupied.
Green rooftop on the top of the hotel which is cozy and cute but really it has no spectacular view. Only good for drinks, it’s over crowded and the calamari we had was oily and average.
Although the scenery is worth the trip, the service takes too long. This applies to both at a table and the bar. Still has some operational kinks to work out.
The Bitches say: C-. Atmosphere gets an “A+” but this buffet brunch is impersonal, and the service totally sucks. We would only bring friends back for a drink to avoid another experience like this. Read more
Perfect rooftop, pricey drinks but worth it because the place is gorgeous. You can get a punch bowl for your group which instagrams well, but I liked the individual drinks better.
