David WAugust 23, 2015Their burgers and their "grilled cheese of the week" are decent. But for an ale house the know very little about beer. The waitstaff can't answer questions about the beer beyond what is on the board.
The two times I have been to the First Street Alehouse, they have had Russian River, Pliny the Elder on draft. The food is good and the selection of beer is very good!

Friendly place to hang out & watch a game. Best burgers around. Great food & beer selections. Thursday is pint night.
Keep it simple -original Alehouse burger with cheese and the Scrimshaw Pilsner draught.
Always busy - and everybody gets a Tootsie Pop when they eat here. Thurs nites 5 to midnite PINT night. Super busy but food and beer are worth the wait. Want to skip wait, go early in week for lunch. 1/2 pints also avail.

Always packed and great people watching... The turkey burger and garlic fries are a must and they have a great beer selection!
Sweet potato fries and Watermelon Wheat on the patio... Best summer evening thing in Livermore.
Black and blue salad is the bomb...half order plenty and John is an awesome server very attentive... ;)

You can get a side of soup instead of fries or salad for 1.99 and it's a HUGE! Good w/ grilled cheese.

If you're coming with a big group, plan on waiting a while to get seated. Especially if there's a big game in tv.

Salad? Yes, the "Black & Blue" TriTip and Bleu cheese and an IPA...get this!
Don't get the calamari appetizer. Real dud, but the veggie spring rolls and chili are good.
