- Kevin MatuszewskiMarch 15, 2015Food was really good but won't be back anytime soon. Waitstaff was inattentive, and inconvenienced. People at the end of our table were constantly bumped sitting at the table by people moving about.
- Rumana SiddikyAugust 16, 2011The 2 salsas that came with the guacamole were yummy - more memorable than the guac itself, so the sampler of 4 may be the more interesting move.
- Tim BackusMarch 20, 2016Romantic, intimate, and a ton of tequila. I think you see where this is heading.
- Megan PDecember 1, 2013If you're not a fan of fresh onion, don't forget to ask them to hold the garnish!
- Missy SteinerMay 1, 2012Fish tacos were off the hook. Service with a smile. Best. Restaurant. Soundtrack. Ever.
- Chrysanthe TenentesAugust 24, 2011ask for the two special salsas (one cashew--really!--and one spicy). don't miss the margaritas.
- duane aliahApril 20, 2012Great cocktails and the tacos were great.. Don't need the 3.. Apetiser size of 2 is enough
- Carolina PereiaApril 21, 2013Shishito peppers with queso fundido!!! The best in the house!!! Yummi!!
- Tim SheyJuly 20, 2011Try the Empelloma, their Paloma with housemade grapefruit soda, and ask then to make it with Siete Leguas reposado.
- Kristina MarinoJune 29, 2011The Por Que No cocktail might be one of the best cocktails of all time. Silver/Cilantro/Serrano/Pineapple
- The sweetbread tacos are incredible, especially alongside an Espolon Reposado with Sangrita!
- 'Por que no' is a must-drink. Goes particularly well with Lobster Tacos!
- Amanda TheilerFebruary 27, 2015http://empellon.com/taqueria/menus#menu982067 brunch $10-14, indoor only
- Erin LaneApril 28, 2011Cool atmosphere, slowwwww service. Try the bacon queso fundido, short rib tamale, and crispy fish tacos.
- Lucy PollackJuly 6, 2011The lobster taco is amazing! Save room for the passion fruit tart and bunuelos, so good!!
- Monday LisaMarch 15, 2015Appalled at the service - I waited an hour and then they tried to give me the crappiest seat in the place (right next to the hostess stand). Unfortunate bc the food is pretty good.
- @JaumePrimeroOctober 22, 2011support the independent restaurant owners of NYC! Food is fantastic and inventive!
- Kathryn DMarch 31, 2017For vegetarians, the brussels sprouts tacos are can't miss. Everything else is average.
- Patricia Diaz SwedinApril 2, 2011The chef agreed to make us whatever we might choose although we arrived when the kit closed. Chicken tacos like México makes.
- John ThaiDecember 25, 2012Expectations are set high at this price point. Lobster taco was tough and rubbery, short rib pastrami taco was dry. Sweetbread taco, fried yucca, margaritas a highlight. Bad value. Would not return.
