Beautiful hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Near the water with great views of downtown Tampa. Courteous staff. Free drinks/snacks from 5:30-7:30 and free full breakfast. Publix grocery store walking distance over a bridge if you don't want the $5 bottle water! Suites are huge and the continental breakfast is the best around.
Best place to stay in downtown for ybor or st Pete times forum. Trolly out front to take u to channel side and ybor. Free drinks in pm and breakfast like all embassy's- Two omelette stations come early during busy events! Fruit center and oatmeal! Coffee plus a Starbucks in the building
- HARTAugust 3, 2011The TECO Line Streetcar drops off in front of the hotel. Only a 15 min ride to Channelside and Ybor City. A 3-day unlimited ride fare card is only $11. One day unlimited is $5.
Excellent location, excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms are a little worn down.

Lauren PetersonJanuary 18, 2014No soundproofing. You can hear the music from a club in the room then the drunken crowd at the bar in the living area. We told this to the front desk who told us to wait until it dies down at 2 am.

Over-exaggeration about the elevators. During rush times it they will stop quite often, but no 10-15 min. 1 of 4 has been down for 3 days. No big deal. Very enjoyable stay, time after time.

Avoid the powdered eggs, broken toaster, margarine. Stay healthy with fruit and yogurt.

Do yourself a favor and stay at the Marriott. This place is run down and the rooms are dark and dirty.
