- Special perk for Gold/Diamond members: free weekly Wednesday evening wine tasting and cooking demo reception incl. samples. Hotel caters very well to business travelers/long-time guests.
- Zlatina ValevaAugust 24, 2012Nice rooftop pool party every thursday and Sunday during the summer: DJ, Alcohol and something from the grill. CON: Why they let kids on these parties?? Every one should be over 21!
- Lots of pluses here: Front desk will do their best to accommodate Gold/Diamond room upgrades. Cookies are delicious, though beware of the calories! Free shuttle to Metro, but valet service is spotty.

- Debbie Griffith BrownApril 12, 2013Flat bread pizza is ok. The Roosts version in Greenville, SC is outstanding. Make sure you tell waiter here 3 times what you want, he'll forget something. Whats his little pad of paper is for?
- As a long-time guest (6 months and counting), highlights are: front desk service, restaurant menu and staff (esp. Gita, Marta, chef Babaka), maid service, pantry w/snacks for Gold/Diamond members...
- Some on the rooms on 10, 11 and 12 have fridges and microwaves. Even if you don't have one, ask and if they have one they will bring one up.
- Lemmie AndersonJune 24, 2015The "special" for the punch card pint glass for the 5 Sam Adams, as of 24JUN15, isn't at the bar.
- Hilton gold and diamond get access to the pantry which is a nice perk.
- Some Corner rooms have small balconies. Never hurts to ask for one.
- The AC is a little noisy. If you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.
- Rooms are nice, lots of little extras, valet parking. Free Internet. Variety of restaurants nearby.
- Mmmmm fresh baked cookies at check-in!! The valets will drop you off and pick you up from the metro.
- Fruit, bagels and Starbucks in the Coffee Shop downstairs. Save that $20 breakfast room service.
- Stop by the front desk and say, "Gio said it is okay for me to get a fresh baked DoubleTree cookie"
