I get my Friday morning Health Breakfast and "Serious Capp" at M&B. The staff is always friendly and there is always a fresh newspaper available to read.
The nigiri and sashimi selections are very tasty and the fish is very fresh. The bentos are pretty large and contain quite a selection. They also have a few Korean dishes.
A standard TH, it's a nice stop on the way to New Brunswick, or Halifax. Co-located with Mastodon Ridge Park, you'll find a something to do to break, and gas up after that long drive.
Nice mall just outside the downtown Halifax core. Currently under renovations (2015). Has a nice mixture of brand name boutique and designer shops with a small Sears anchor.
Typical "cookie cutter" Timmies. My regular stop when on a bike ride to the Annapolis Valley. Wifi is strong if you decide to sit outside on their patio.
I go here for my UK treats. The produce is very high quality, however can be a bit pricier than the mainstream groceries in town. Lots of unique selections for UK expats.
It's very convenient since it's open 24 hrs. Walking distance from flat. Good selection, however haven't seen my kimchi there for a while. I miss it.
This is regular coffee stop since it's walking distance from my flat. Standard fair all the other Timmies. Staff is very friendly and gets to know their regulars.
You cannot beat the Friday afternoon brunch for the price anywhere. A very relaxed pool party atmosphere with a lively crowd and great house band.
PF Chang's is a fine franchise with a nice selection of modern asian dishes. The calamarie is a bit chewy (think rubber bands). Popular bites such as Dynamite Shrimp will always please regulars.
The Kare Kare is very good. I don't like it with too much peanut butter. The sisig was nice a sizzling. Lots of room and handy location in downtown AD
An older Carrefour. But still a Carrefour nonetheless. Split into two levels, it makes doing both grocery and other shopping a challenge. Because it is a stand alone store, no mall crowds.
I like the convenience of having my Friday morning b'fast at the M&B upstairs, then going grocery shopping after. As with all Spinney's, the produce is first rate, but a bit pricier.
You cannot beat the 10 dhs IKEA breakfast anywhere in the city. Other than that, it's a cookie cutter IKEA. Seen one, you've seen them all.
