Despite it being kitsch and full of bad architecture and ordinary restaurants there is enough great things to make it work. Come at night for the romance and fireworks every Saturday and Sunday. Bring the family, let the kids play in the playground behind and grab something to eat for the show.

I love just waking around here. Saturday fireworks! If you want to take a cruise, check the packages for the museums also.

Good place to chill near the water. Saturday evening fireworks at 8.30.
Loads of bars, clubs and restaurants along the water. You can watch the fireworks at 9pm

don't miss the fireworks every Saturday at 9:00 pm :) and you should try the close by restaurants.
Endearing and enduring landmark, in spite of its tourist kitsch and neon excesses. Spend a lazy afternoon here and check out the event-of-the-day - experience Sydney anew from a visitor's perspective!
Not much cover in hot wet bad weather needs more access to transport to get more people to use the space conveniently especially those with small children maybe a free loop bus to location
