- Melinda GuoMay 2, 2013Great sandwiches to go with your coffee. Personal faves are the Happy Hen sandwich with truffled egg and Figgy sandwich with prosciutto and candied figs.
- Robert ShoykhetJanuary 29, 2016Yes the drinks are great, but the cookies are really amazing. Best I've ever had. Not exaggerating.
- cute little place in an area without many great coffee options. wifi and great pastries 👍🏻
- Best coffee anywhere near the Macy's to Bryant Park stretch. Great rotating bean selections, and excellent pastries to match.
- Tony XerriJanuary 7, 2013This place is great if you want to read overly redundant tips about the damn flat whites and chocolate chip cookies... When you're done with that crap, just get a machiato and enjoy the hipster music.
- everything. try everything. this place is the bomb. oh yeah, and the chocolate chip cookie is one of the best I've ever had
- Dylan NordNovember 30, 2014Really great espresso, plus baked goods and cookies are awesome--some made on site and others trucked in from great spots like Dough.
- AdleyAugust 27, 2014Cosy cafe spot, great coffee, friendly stuff. But what the hell is the music they are listening there? ;-D
- Cheen The CuriousJuly 28, 2022While waiting for your coffee to be prepared, u will be offered free still or sparkling water, to prepare your palate for the coffee taste
- One of our favorites. In an area where good coffee shops are hard to find, Culture holds it down with cortados with the right proportions.
- Cheen The CuriousJuly 28, 2022Love love love the espresso ($3.50) here! Double-shot & packs lots of bitterness & aroma
- Serious EatsMarch 19, 2013A fabulous espresso bar with some fine sandwich options on the chalkboard menu, located amidst the bustle of West 38th Street.
- Fantastic offerings from multiple roasters from all over the country. The best place to get coffee in Midtown. Read more
- Loris UzanApril 14, 2015Simply put best chocolate chip cookies (that come out of the oven every hour) and one of the best espressos in the city
- MischaApril 22, 2015Awesome coffee, if you work on the area nearby make your coffee stop here and no in one of the big chains. However, the spinach croissant isn't their forte.
- ℳansour αℓтαууαrMarch 28, 2015Its not your usual petit cup of espresso, it is a unique one. I had to leave my phone and work on the side just to channel my concentration to understand the chemistry of the taste.
- Yonadav TsunaFebruary 9, 2011I got a cortado- it was made to perfection. The place is really like a village-type place, but in midtown. Check out their awesome record player & record collection too! Oh, ad cool chandeliers!
- The chocolate chip cookies are baked daily and AMAZING, but only available after 10am. For their less crowded location with the same stuff, visit Culture 36.
- Chrissy TobinApril 6, 2015The espresso is fantastic and the chocolate chip cookies was the bees knees! They make them throughout the day, so they're always fresh and tasty!
- Spotted by Locals - city guides by localsSeptember 30, 2013This place is always packed because, despite the endless chain coffee shops in Midtown, no one can quite pull an espresso like Culture in this part of the city Read more
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideJanuary 11, 2012Just off 6th Ave, the stools in the full-front window provide a view of Garment District workers and tourists, while you enjoy a well-crafted espresso or pourover along w/ a Scratchbread scone.
- Similar to Cafe Grumpy with decent coffee and coffee options. Need to go back and try the espresso specialties that everyone seems to love
- their chocolate chip cookies give levain a run for their $$. seriously! and the vegan peanut butter cookies... they are incredible as well
- Joel CummingAugust 23, 2014Grab a flat white and stroll a few blocks to enjoy it by the fountain at Bryant Park - a beautiful way to start the morning.
- Jenny NewApril 30, 2018The chocolate chip cookie did not disappoint!! Crunchy on the edges, chewy in the middle and gooey chocolate chunks. 10/10!

- Best Chocolate Chip ever. Music selection so good! I love this place!
- Rozanne ElsJune 20, 2018Very busy and vibey. One of the only places in the area that can actually make a good plain hot brew. No mess, no fuss.
- If you're looking for a beverage that will give you neurological disorders, involuntary twitches and superhuman abilities, then order the Nitro cold brew.
- Greg SmithMay 2, 2014Grab a 'Flat White' to go or, better yet, take a seat and soak in the cool vibe for a little while.
- micchele tottiNovember 1, 2014Very good lattes and a nice store. Been going there a lot and like the coffee but service could be a lot better. 2nd choice In this part of NY after Zibetto.
- bpmuirJanuary 17, 2016Coffee & espresso is good, (mildly loud) music, a flat white is their version of Cappuccino. But, the cookies are insane! Stupid good!
- Andrew CFebruary 27, 2018It's like any boutique coffee shop... pricey, but everything tastes real and local and fresh (even if it's actually not)
- CompassApril 25, 2014A hip-meets-communal atmosphere, free wi-fi, and consistently entertaining latte art leave laptoppers and coffee snobs hooked.
- Gabriel HayesAugust 28, 2015My favorite coffee shop near Bryant Park. One of my favorite coffee shops in Midtown Manhattan.
- I was murdered to death by these chocolate chip cookies. It was an honor to die at the hands of such noble creations.
- IrinaJuly 30, 2014Go for a flat white (4.50$), so creamy and rich, or cold brewed (in house) iced coffee Kyoto!
- SulaimanFebruary 2One of the best cookies places all over the world 👌🏼chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter are unmissable 🤩
- martin cairneyDecember 24, 2014Wow, they even have flat white on the menu, no need for an Aussie to have to explain. Great coffee as well.
- Kiwis love the flat whites here, the scones are great - often grab a coffee and go up to Bryant Park
- Jing Jing LiJune 12, 2016The nitro cold brew is decent and the pastries are pretty good. Definitely one of the better coffee choices in the area
- If the nitro cold brew is available, it's definitely worth trying. Like an iced coffee with the smoothness of Guinness.
- Doughnuts are pretty good. Like the Almond/Caramel Frosting one better than Hibiscus Frosting one. Think these doughnuts are from the Dough @doughbrooklyn
- JimJune 8, 2012Get the chocolate chip cookie! Sandwiches also amazing, as is the coffee (goes without saying). One of the few gems in the garment district.
