If you have a sweet tooth, this won’t satisfy it! Churros are not even a little bit sweet. I would recommend the Chocolateria 1902 or other less crowded places to go.

This place is widely advertised, but don't think it's just a marketing trick: churros and chocolate are truly the best here. The walls of chocolateria picture many famous guests.

The line moves quickly, so don’t worry about it. Order and take a seat. No need to wait for your order before you sit.

All of their chocolate has milk in it so vegans be forewarned! They don't have soy milk either. But it's nice to go once for the history.

6 pcs churros with a regular-sized hot chocolate mug for 3,60€ :) real treat! Open for 24 hours. Perfect place to hang out after a long night of wine, beer and tapas ;)

Order from their takeaway sweet shop on the other side of the street - it has a shorter line - and then take them to eat on a bench in Plaza Mayor.

Skip the line at the main shop and head right next door to the expanded "to-go" counter and grab your order as a takeaway

it's amazing how a legendary name of the place can trick you into a not so great affair. churros were more than fine but a thin chocolate resembling more of a bad cocoa drink ruined all the experience

Great churros and chocolate. A little abrupt and rude on the service end of things, but, did I mention, great churros and chocolate?

It’s a well working concept, charming in many ways. Timing is everything, on a weekend there may be a hundred people waiting in line. Much easier on a weekday. Avoid at all cost if you’re on a diet ;)

Madrid´s best "churros" and chocolate place. Have it for breakfast or late in the night. This mythical place is open 24 hours a day and it is runned since 1894.

Be careful with your valuables especially smart phones when you sit at outdoor tables. Had my iPhone stolen by a group of young student types using a petition to cover my iPhone as they took it!
