- Security wasn't bad. At least compared to the NYC airports I'm used to. If you get to the airport an hour before takeoff and you've printed your tickets in advance you should be fine.

Your wait at the baggage claim may likely take longer than your trip from ATL
Perpetual game of musical chairs. Lots of gate changes because of shared gates dye to the construction.

Its just one of those airports with a lot of casual fliers. So security can be brutal
Beat selection of bottled water. But the water fountain taste so good. Gate A3 is the best.

TommyAugust 13, 2012Easy airport. There is no gas station between the exit and the rental return. Plan ahead. They need pens at the rental return key drop.
Check out the cell phone waiting area cheaper than parking & more convenient than driving around.
Love the smell of burnt pizza? Eat before you enter Terminal B!

Free wi-fi, though advertised everywhere, simply doesn't work. Chill at your hotel and don't come here earlier than needed -- nothing to do and poor food options to boot.
The Dunkin Donuts in the airport is the best place to eat. It's before security though so grab food fast before you go through!

Do whatever you can to avoid checking a bag flying in to Charleston. Baggage claim takes ages. Every time. Even though you flew in on a tiny plane and baggage claim is 100 feet from the gates.
