Came at 4 with the kids on a Wednesday and had the whole mini-golf course to ourselves. Finished up with an early dinner on the upper deck. Great kids' menu! Don't bother with the fake lemonade.
If it's a sunny day, and you feeling being around a nautical setting, Brooklyn Crab is the place to be. Get a bucket of beers and enjoy a game of mini golf or corn hole with your friends.
Great spot for groups when the weather is nice. Lots of outdoor games to keep everyone entertained. Can't speak to seafood quality, but the drink menu is okay.
"[F]resh cold oysters and perfectly steamed lobster, eaten in the open, relatively salty air, with a killer view of New York Harbor." Shauna Lyon on Brooklyn Crab (8/27/2012): http://nyr.kr/R50GAo
oysters are good and the view is appealing but the clam chowder is all potatoes and flour while their version of fish and chips is definitely pretty poor, as are the crab cakes.
Head to the backyard and get way too competitive while playing cornhole. Bonus points if you miss the target entirely and knock a beer out of your friend's hand.
My advice: kick bk w/drinks & cold/raw platters on their 1st flr deck, & change to the upper deck for sunset. You'll be drunk & soaking it all up by then!
