It's the most famous Zoo in NYC and for a reason… it’s HUGE. AND exciting. Host an event here & sip cocktails below the leaves in the gorilla forest. Or perhaps the Dancing Crane Pavilion is ur scene.
The Sopranos happened here. Tony Soprano takes Mercedes car saleswoman, Gloria Trillo, here on a date and things get a little hot in the reptile house.
Student discounts are not advertised but super worth mentioning! Be prepared to walk A LOT. There is a shuttle but it only does pick ups on one of the four sides of the park...kind of stupid...
Wednesday is a suggested donation day, but make sure not to visit in the middle of the summer as it is full of day camps and the the heat gets to the animals and you!

The Dinosaur Safari was more geared for little kids. For older people it'll be kinda boring so unless you have young ones in your group, you may want to skip it and save the time. Love the zoo though!
Membership is only 120 bucks or so, you get in free and get 6 free parking passes. Includes all exhibits, rides, etc. Definitely worth the money and a great place to go spend a couple hours!

The good thing about coming on Wed... Admission is free. The bad thing about coming on Wed... It's so damned crowded you wished you'd paid to come another day.
You must visit the Bronx Zoo and check out all the crazy amazing animals! We especially love the gorillas, who love to interact with all visitors and make us laugh.
There hasn't been a year in the entire history of the zoo when an animal didn't escape. Most of the time it's a small bird or snake, but in 1982 it was a rare and dangerous panther.
Watch Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure, a 3-D movie starring our favorite amigos on a mission to save the rainforest with cool effects like air blasts, scents and more. Powered by ParentsConnect.com
One of the best zoos I've seen - well worth a visit. Visit on a cloudy day, and the animals will be super active. Try to see the polar bear in early afternoon.
I've seen lots of zoos and this is a good one. It's really big and nice and great for a nice afternoon. I know zoos get a bad rap sometimes but isn't it worse when the animals don't get to see anyone?

This is the saddest zoo I have ever been to. Small cages and sad animals (even though the park is so big that they could have made it into a paradise for them), I came out of there really depressed ;/
