Get there early, like 8.30, before the tourists, when the foodies and chefs turn up. Stall holders are a little more generous!
Freshly baked food. Get off at London Bridge station. Try to arrive early, between 10am and 11am to avoid the crowd.

One of the highlights of London. Good for a bite - unrivalled for a pre-banquet shop.
Get down to the market for the end of trading hours to find some real bargains. Fish and bread, amongst other things, can be got for half price.
