Bring a blanket and lay out on the big lawn, or pack a bathing suit and combination lock and hit the pool. Squirrels abound.
The peasant sandwich is an old hangover fixer-upper I still think about from time to time. Great chicken matzoh ball soup and hot open roast beef. Favorite diner staff in the area, too.
The nachos are quality, as are the wings. Standard pub fare. The beer selection is truly great, however.
My favorite is the Blueberry Cake doughnut. Goes best with some cold brew coffee and coconut milk.
Excellent pickle backs with brine from McClure's. Interesting, creamy burrata served potted with toast for spreading. And the smashed avocado toast is my most ordered menu item still.
The best steak tartare for my money. Definitely a must. Great rotating cocktails as well. My wife and I's favorite place for an after work happy hour drink.
The carnitas tacos have a small bit of chicharron on top, the crunch complimenting the smoothness of the avocado. Damn beautiful thing.
