I often complain that too many trendybars serve undersized weak "fancy" drinks that are more like a shot on ice. But this place makes excellent, strong and delicious drinks.
This is my corner bar and simultaneously one of my favorites anywhere. The barstaff are very serious about what they serve and how without being a PITA about it. Also oysters and snack mix.
A strong contender for the Best Bar to Meet a Few Friends at Before Dark. Cocktails are worth the price of admission any time, but frozen drinks in the summer make this a destination
Tasty cocktails at this fun spot to hang with a group of friends late at night (say, after a game at the Barclays Center). Challenge someone to a game of pool!
Here in the wintertime? You want hot apple cider, spiked with bourbon. Maybe have a few and then go for a walk in Prospect Park! See, winter in NYC isn’t that bad after all.
Classycocktail bar. A bit over-crowded for after midnight on a friday night. Kind of too cool for school. Get the 'Good Manners' cocktail with prosecco, bourbon, mint, cucumber & cane syrup.
During happy hour, draft beers are $2 off, and all cocktails, bottled beer, and wine are $1 off. The offer is available Monday through Friday from 2 to 8 PM as well as dollar oysters from 5 to 8 PM. Read more
The Mr. Howell is one of the most unique and flavorful cocktails I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and spend $2 more to have it made with a finely aged rum -- a transcendent upgrade.
Had the Bermuda Triangle during HH for $8. Enjoyed it. Sweet and made with love. Only dislike was the drink had lots of ice. Definitely returning if I'm in the area.
Justin is the coolest, most down to earth bartender I've ever met. He's also insanely talented-- go here if you're into tasty, strong, unique cocktails.
Try the Town Destroyer - Applejack, Pear Preserves, Granny Smiths, Apple Cider Vinegar, w/ a touch Honey & a sprinkle of Nutmeg. A perfect Fall cocktail.
