Do not be fooled by the size of the arepas. One is surely enough for you. If you're feeling extra fat maybe get two. Try anything with slow stewed beef with habanero sauce. Mouth watering!
"Amid the mostly meaty options, the “Guayanesa Tropical” ($6) arepa holds its own, bolstered by a rich combination of fried sweet plantains, creamy wedges of avocado, and firm, mild Guyanese cheese." Read more
Home-style Venezualan here. Order the Cornpancakes with salty cheese and sour cream! Stewed chicken was ok but good arepa. Ask for the 2 home-made sauces, 1 mild and 1 spicy. Cheap and fun!
I can’t get enough of this place, if I lived close by I’ll be here all the time. I’ve tried other arepa places around but there’s nothing like Arepas Cafe 🤤
A place that u can go for a quick bite or make a night of it. They have a lot of different arepas & beyond. Food was good & they also serve alcohol. It has a good happy hour and The staff was decent.
Small place. Food is delish. Chicken soup is huge and amazing! Tastes homemade! Wasn't impressed with the tres leche cake but otherwise all the food was great! Will be back!
Eat the camerones arepas with the green sauce. Have the ice tea and also make sure the person you eat with over orders. This way you get to try the other arepas.
So far the arepa pabellon remains my favorite, and I've had almost everything on the menu! Mini empanadas with their delicious hot sauce and aioli is always a winner
Food is great, however upon checking in I was informed of a 50% discount offered on foursquare, showed the waitress but it was not honored even though I was within terms. Tisk Tisk foursquare.....
Do not let the menu description confuse you-- the camaronesarepa is with Pico de gallo, not "cooked with tomatoonion sauce and cilantro." Simple, still tasty, among the lighter arepas choices.
The guy sitting the customers today (Aug-09 2014) obviously is not Venezuelan, he didn't care about the guest satisfaction, instead of that he was caring about doing the things in the way he wanted
