Sharmine Ishak: Don't count your carbs! Get the shao bing (flatbread, thin or thick) with yuetiao (deep fried fritters) and sweetened soy milk. Pretty good combo! But be ready to queue; it starts from 1F.
Denys Lai: It's not a bad place to kill an hour or two in Taipei with exhibits, cafes, shops. When I was there, they had a Beatles and Little Prince exhibit.
Tim Lee: When you walk in, you're greeted with smiling faces and if you don't want to order a box of cakes immediately, you'll be directed to the "sampling" area. Enjoy the free sample of pineapple cake & tea

eifeh: Din Tai Fung will always have my favorite soup dumplings. The Xinyi Rd. location is the original and the wait can be very long. Favorite soup dumplings are the shrimp with loofah. Try fried rice too!
Michelin Travel & Lifestyle: The city’s oldest temple is always crowded, with chanting en masse morning and afternoon. Nearby night market has great food. – Green Guide Editor
Alina Maatjes-Siletskaya: Large mall with hundreds of mainly middle class brands - some well known, some really new for visitors outside of Asia. Great atmosphere - feels like shopping theme park and overall great experience.

Dim Sum Restaurant · Zhōngzhèng Qū · 25 tips and reviews
eifeh: Famous for their chasiu pork buns for a reason--super delicious and buttery. Shrimp and spinach dumplings were also good. Most others were pretty average. Wait can be long. Last call at 21:30.
Tony Morwood-Leyland: You need at least 2 hours to do any justice to this vast collection and go clockwise from the 3rd floor downwards to avoid queuing behind successive coach tours. Lift is at the back in the middle.
Dave Khayat: Quality coffee, free wifi. Nicely situated near the boundary of Ximending. Great place to relax after a hard day wandering the streets of Taipei.
William Kan: Decent dessert shop, a lot of Korean tourists visiting it. There is an underground floor that offers much bigger space. And graffiti on the walls too.

Sandra Tan: The 肉羹 & 魯肉飯 here is famous。The 燉湯 muz not be missed. I recommend the 鳳梨苦瓜雞湯 (Pineapple Bittergourd Chicken Soup). The soup taste super light and refreshing. Good for those who stayed up late.
Anthony Chang: My favorite boba milk tea drink in all of Taipei. Not your normal boba milk tea as theirs has a much stronger milk flavor to it (as they use full fat milk). Always has a line, but it moves quickly.
Renee T: TIANJING CHONG ZHUA Pancake Stand. $1 Scallion pancakes! So good, not to be missed, best street food on the trip. No line on a Saturday and Sunday mid-afternoon.
Connie Chiu: Favorite night market for food. Get ready to fight the crowd down the narrow walkway of food vendors. Get the deep fried taro with egg yolk! Long line but worth the wait.
Donna: Great view of history in Taipei. Free to your and enjoy the grounds. Good place for photos of the old style home and gardens. Surrounding neighborhood has nice little markets to wander through.
Will Leung: popular one that always long line up. wait for 30mins. fresh roasted eel, juicy and well cooked. dunt find any speciality in egg-roll. very crowed seats.
Gary Hor: High-end designer shops are aplenty. There's a Din Tai Fung on the lowest floor. And for bibliophiles, Page One Bookstore is on the highest floor.
Justin T: Do lunch for "famous" 清燉牛肉麵 (clear broth) limited 80 bowls/day. Otherwise, the 紅燒牛肉麵 (dark broth) is very average at best, and for 160 ntd you can get more AND better beef elsewhere. No tendon option.
John G: Wagyu Rib Eye steak is a definite must if it's the only thing you order. Order at least 200gm but be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket. Medium rare will have juices oozing with every bite.
